1 Dear Jessica, My family finally unpacked all of our belongings into our new house. I m so excited because I finally have a room all to myself, and it is on the second floor of the house! I still haven t met anyone in our new town yet, but I think I will soon because my parents found this new chu, and it is only three blocks away! I was nervous about finding a new chu because I liked our old chu so much, but this new one sounds really cool! I am excited to go there this weekend, and my parents are really happy that they found a new chu quickly. I miss you and I hope we will be able to visit each other soon. I can t wait to hear about your new town! Aubrie
2 Dear Aubrie, I m glad that you have your own room! I still have a few boxes in my room that are not unpacked, but I should unpack those before the end of the week. I like my new town so far, there is a neighborhood pool just down the street! But I am kind of nervous about making new friends. I miss our old chu too, and my parents haven t really found a new one yet. I know it s important to go to chu regularly, but I really want to find some new friends first. After that then I m sure I will go to chu on the weekends. There is a lacrosse team at my school, and I think I will join that and should make some new friends with the other girls on the team. I miss you too, and I look forward to your next letter! Jessica
3 Dear Jessica, My new chu is awesome! We have been going there for three weeks now and I have made some new friends who are really nice. Our families all go out for lunch after chu and what is even better is that my new friends Gage and Kathryn go to my school! They are a part of the art club at my school, and so I think I ll join the club. I hope you can find a new chu soon, it s a good place to find some good friends who also follow God. The lacrosse team sounds fun, good luck with the team. Well I got to go, I m going to go over to Kathryn s house and we are going to finish our craft from chu is weekend. We are building Noah s Ark! I miss you, and I hope you are still enjoying your new town! Aubrie
4 Dear Aubrie, Your chu sounds great. My family isn t going to a chu on the weekends, but that s because the lacrosse team has games on Sunday and my brother has soccer games on Sunday also. Some of the girls on the team are nice, and sometimes we eat lunch together. But some of the girls are mean and I don t really like to hang around them. School is tough right now because I haven t had much time to do my homework because I ve been busy at lacrosse practice. Well I need to go to practice right now, I will hopefully write to you soon. Jessica
5 Dear Jessica, I m glad to hear that you are enjoying lacrosse. I hope school gets better for you. Guess what I learned at chu this weekend? Did you know that when the Israelites were on their way from Egypt to the Promised Land, that God guided them by a pillar of cloud during the day and a pillar of fire during the night? How cool is that! And God guides us in our lives too, well not by pillars of clouds or pillars of fire, but through the Bible. I was so excited about this lesson that my parents went out and bought me a new Bible. I m sure there is a good chu in your area, you should check one out and then you can learn cool stuff like this, too! Aubrie
6 Dear Aubrie, Sorry I haven t written you a letter in a while, I have been grounded for the past couple of weeks. My new friends on the lacrosse team, Brittany and Kayla, wanted to see this new movie that came out but my parents told me that they didn t want me to see it. But Brittany and Kayla were going, and they said that I could just lie to my parents about what we were doing and then go see it anyways, so I did. Well my parents found out and they were not happy, so they grounded me for two weeks. The lacrosse team hasn t won very many games, so our coach has doubled our practice time and I have to go to practice now. Maybe I ll be able to write to you later. Jessica
CAN I TELL YOU ABOUT LONELINESS?
I know I get grumpy sometimes, and people being nice to me can make me even grumpier. But my friends let me be myself, even if I am grumpy. But things can go wrong, too. We can argue, and sometimes say
