2 EXCELLENCE IIT Gandhinagar Dedicates Auditorium to Commemorate Mr Jasu Shah CHEMTECH dedicated an endowment at IIT Gandhinagar to promote research for fundamental core chemical process technologies in the memory of Mr Jasu Shah, Founder Chairman, Jasubhai Group & CHEMTECH Foundation. Mr B Narayan, Group President Procurement & Projects, RIL the Chief Guest for the function reiterated the pivotal role CHEMTECH has played to for the growth of India s chemical industry over the last 4 decades under the leadership of Mr Jasu Shah. Today, I think the need of the hour that we feel that CHEMTECH must propagate is Invention. 3 June 2017 CHEMTECH Heads to Hyderabad with the South Edition of Flagship Event CHEMTECH will organise CHEMTECH South World Expo 2017 from December 13-15, 2017 at HITEX Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad. Three day show will provide an opportunity to the process equipment & technology companies to have direct connectivity in the Southern market, especially enable the equipment & technology manufacturers suppliers to reach out to the pharma and bulk drugs producers. Over the last three decades, the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have emerged as the pharmaceutical and biotech hub from bulk drug manufacturing base. Hyderabad contributes more than 30% of bulk drugs in the country and the region is now home to several pharma majors who produce affordable medicines. Over the last couple of decades, many contract manufacturers and research organizations have emerged in the region to cater to the global markets. Now Vishakhapatnam is emerging as the destination after the announcement of Jawaharlal Nehru Biotech Park which will further attract investments. The event aims to enable the technology and services providers to create strong inroads into the growing market in the states of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana and other Southern states. CHEMTECH will also organise concurrent conferences on Specialty Chemicals and Biopharma. CHEMTECH has organised the South edition of flagship event in Chennai in 2013, but was compelled to cancel the 2015 edition due to heavy rains. ChemTECH SOUTH WORLD EXPO , December Hyderabad, India Strong Headstart for 2nd Edition of Gujarat Edition Exhibitors have started booking the space for CHEMTECH Gujarat World Expo 2018 scheduled to be organised from 23-25, January 2018 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The state of Gujarat contributes for more than 60 % of India s chemical output and is home to Indian, multinationals and small and medium scale companies. The maiden edition of CHEMTECH Gujarat in 2016 had the presence of 210 exhibitors from 7 countries and 6547 industry visitors, 75 speakers of global acclaim and 426 delegates. CHEMTECH Gujarat World Expo 2018 will enable the technology and services providers to showcase the latest trends directly in India s largest chemical manufacturing region. 3

This growing sector today has become a potential hub for investments worth millions and opportunities, endless. With the energy sector growing at this rate, there is also a need to optimise power so that we can obtain maximum energy in the least cost. CHEMTECH Foundation is all set to organise its 5th edition of ENERTECH World Expo 2018 from February 21-23, 2018 in Navi Mumbai. The event will be a platform for exchange of ideas and experiences to a larger set of audience and experts from the field of Thermal Energy, Nuclear Energy and Renewable Energy and a rostrum to interact with the key power producers, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, feedstock suppliers as well as the chairmen, Directors, and CXOs from the public and private sector along with representatives from the Indian and state government. Over the years, our industry leaders have brainstormed for structured ideas that would be favourable for the end users from the energy sector; they have spoken about the sustainability issues and the research and trends that have to play a critical role. Mr N B Godrej expressed stressed on the need of having strong foundation for the Industry based on Chemistry to truly realise the Make in India dream. CHEMTECH will soon have a brainstorming session to start ideating for the next edition of conference scheduled to be organised from February 2019 during the 29 th edition of flagship event in Mumbai. The jury comprising of industry experts interacted with the participants at the venue and selected the winners of the competition.
