2 Introduction Amerlux Exterior delivers exceptional value in our decorative, outdoor, commercial grade luminaires and poles. Providing energy efficient light sources and excellent service has been a hallmark of the company since inception. Now we bring you the next generation in energy efficiency, value and service, with the introduction of our sustainable LED solutions. This solid state lighting system delivers extremely long life, high quality light, energy savings and reduced maintenance costs as well as several other benefits compared to current HID systems. This simple system, easily installed, has been designed to deliver maximum performance in a large number of Amerlux Exterior luminaires for both new products as well as a retrofit in an existing fixture. Quality of Light High Brightness LED s provide excellent color rendering (83+ CRI) which make people and objects appear more natural. A bright white, 3500k color temperature helps create a more comfortable outdoor setting than typical HID systems. LED systems achieve full brightness (no warm up time like HID) immediately after being powered on. Instant restart after a power outage, eliminates the long wait typical of HID lamps needing to cool down before restarting.

3 Making the change Green Technology No Mercury or other hazardous materials are used in the manufacturing of our LED system making it environmentally safe and recyclable. LED technology performs comparably to HID sources using less power therefore reducing CO emissions. Energy Savings Higher sustained efficacy (lumens per watt) Lower driver (ballast) power consumption. Depending on the fixture and system, an LED light source can reduce energy consumption by 30% to 50% while delivering equal or greater lumens to the target area. Reduced Maintenance LED systems are designed to last for more than 50,000 hours at 70% initial lumens. No costly lamp replacements during the design life of the product. HID sources lose light output quickly during their rated life compared to LED. During the 50,000+ hour design life of the LED, there will be 3 or more lamp changes for the HID.

Specify LED56 or LED72 in place of standard HID. For refractive lens fixtures, the vertical unit is specified to maximize the output of the optically designed lens.
