4 . Precations for se Precations for Operating Enironment and Conditions This nit is premised on being sed in polltion degree 2* enironment. When sed in higher polltion degree, protect this nit from polltion on another deice side to be incorporated. Oer oltage category of measring circit in this nit is CAT Ⅲ*, and that of axiliary power circit (MA, MB) is CAT Ⅲ*. Do not se this prodct in the places listed below. Failre to follow the instrction may case malfnctions and a life decrease of prodct. - Places the Ambient temperatre exceeds the range C. - Places the aerage daily temperatre exceeds +35 C. - Places the Relatie hmidity exceeds the range 30-85% or places with dewfall. - ibration and impact exceed the specifications. - Dst, corrosie gas, saline and oil smoke exist. - Places exposed to direct snlight. - Places exposed to rain or water drop. - Places in strong electromagnetic field or places large amonts of external noise exist. - Places metal fragments or condctie sbstance are flying. - Altitde exceeds 2000m. < For preention of electric shock> This nit is designed to be hosed within another deice for preention of electric shock. Hose this nit within the deice sch as the gronded control panel before se. To preent persons with little knowledge abot electric eqipment from electric shock, panel mst be taken either following measre. - ock the panel so that only those who get an edcation abot electric eqipment and hae sfficient knowledge can nlock, or sht off power spply atomatically by opening the panel. - Coer the dangeros part of this nit. (Reqired protection code is higher than IX.) *: For the definition of the polltion degree and the oer oltage category, refer to EN600-/200. Matters concerning the precation before se se the nit in the specified sage enironment and conditions. The setting of this nit (phase system, primary oltage, primary crrent) is necessary before se it. Installation and Wiring Precations Make sre to read this manal careflly before Installation and Wiring. (3/7) Cation <Precations for Electric work> Any person who is inoled in the installation and the wiring of this nit shold be flly competent to do this work. Work nder the electric otage condition when installing and wiring. Failre to do so may case electric shock, a failre of the nit, a fire etc. When tapping or wiring, take care not to entering any foreign objects sch as chips and wire pieces into this nit. Check the connection diagram when wiring. Wrong wiring may case failre of the nit, a fire or electric shock. For protection against noise, transmission lines and inpt/otpt lines shall not be placed close to or bond together with the power lines and high-oltage lines. The wires to be connected to this nit shall be placed in a dct or fixed together by cramping. If the electric wires are not placed in the dct or cramped together, loosen wires or their moement or careless stretch may case a breakage of the nit or wire or a malfnction de to poor contact of electric wires. If transmission lines and inpt/otpt lines are placed close to or bond together with the power lines and high-oltage lines, keep distance as below between them. Condition Distance Power line 600 or less Other power line 300mm or longer 600mm or longer <Connection of terminal block> Strip the wires with proper length. Oerlong stripping length may case short to next wire. Shorter stripping length may case contact failre. Take care not to short to next terminal by a filament. (Do not plate the wires with solder.) Do not connect three or more wires to one terminal of a terminal block for preenting loose contact and wires dropot. se appropriate size of electric wires. If inappropriate size of electric wire is sed, it may case a fire de to generated heat. Circits connected to an axiliary power circit (MA, MB) need to be sed the oer crrent protection deice (fse, circit breaker, etc.) to preent shorting connecting wires. (Select an appropriate rating to preent brnot of the wires.) Tighten the screw within the specified torqe. Oer tightening can damage the screw and/or terminal. After tightening the screws, be sre to check all the screws tightened. oose screw may case malfnction of the nit, a fire or electric shock. Be sre to attach the terminal coer to preent electric shock. Do not directly toch any condctie part of the nit. Doing so can case electric shock, failre or malfnction of the nit. If the wires connected to this nit are strongly plled off, it may case a malfnction or a breakage to the nit or the wire.

5 <Connection of frame GND terminal> Do not exceed the specified oltage when doing an inslation resistance test and a commercial freqency withstand oltage test. Do not connect to frame GND terminal dring the inslation resistance test and pressre test. se the crimp-type terminal appropriated for the size of electric wires. If inappropriate crimp-type terminal is sed, a wire breakage or a contact failre may occr, which may case a deice malfnction, a failre, a brnot or a fire. Frame GND terminal mst be gronded according to the D-type grond (grond resistance is not exceed 00Ω). Precations for se This nit cannot be sed for deal and proof of electric energy measrement stiplated in the measrement law. Before operating the prodct, check that actie bare wire and so on does not exist arond the prodct. If any bare wire exists, stop the operation immediately, and take an appropriate action sch as isolation protection. In the eent of a power otage dring the setting, the nit is not set correctly. Please set again after power recoery. Danger Do not toch the lie part. It may case electric shock, electric brn injry or damage of the deice. Work nder the electric otage condition when installing and wiring. Cation Do not disassemble or modify this nit. It may case failre, malfnction, injry or fire. se this nit within the ratings specified in this manal. If it is sed otside the ratings, it may case not only malfnction or failre bt also fire brnot. When sing this prodct, make sre to se it in combination with 5A crrent transformer(max 30 AC). Do not open the secondary side of the CT circit. If the CT is not connected properly or if the secondary side of the CT is open, it may reslt in high oltage on the secondary side of the CT, the inslation of the secondary winding wire may be damaged, and brnot may be cased. Maintenance Precations se a soft dry cloth to clean off dirt of the nit srface. Do not let a chemical cloth remain on the srface for an extended period of time nor wipe the srface with thinner or benzene. Check for the following items to se this nit properly for long time. () Daily maintenance (a) No damage on this nit (b) No abnormality with CD indicators (c) No abnormal noise, smell or heat (2) Periodical maintenance (Once eery 6 months to year) - No looseness with installation and wire connection Cation Do periodical maintenance nder the electric otage condition. Failre to do so may case electric shock, failre of the nit or a fire. Tighten the terminal reglarly to preent a fire. Storage Precations To store this nit, trn off the power and remoe wires, and pt it in a plastic bag. For long-time storage, aoid the following places. Failre to follow the instrction may case a failre and redced life of the nit. - Places metal fragments or condctie sbstance are flying. - Places exposed to rain, water drop or direct snlight. Disposal Precations When disposing of this nit, treat it as indstrial waste. Abot packaging materials and this manal For redction of enironment load, packaging materials are prodced with cardboard, and this manal is printed on recycled paper. (4/7)
