Faculty Biographies Nancy Foss Nancy is a member of the Prairie Rose Chapter, EGA. In addition to stitching, she also enjoys quilting. Pat Thode Pat is a member of the Prairie Rose Chapter, EGA.

Her favorite techniques are canvaswork and counted thread. Karol Simmer Karol is a member of the Prairie Rose Chapter, EGA. She owns Fiberworks in Waverly, Iowa.

3 Faculty Biographies Nancy Foss Nancy is a member of the Prairie Rose Chapter, EGA. In addition to stitching, she also enjoys quilting. Pat Thode Pat is a member of the Prairie Rose Chapter, EGA. She has been designing many years under the Heartstrings label. She has taught in Iowa, Illinois, Colorado and California. Her canvaswork Santa workshop is an annual Prairie Rose Chapter favorite. Her favorite techniques are canvaswork and counted thread. Karol Simmer Karol is a member of the Prairie Rose Chapter, EGA. She owns Fiberworks in Waverly, Iowa. She has taught needlework classes in her shop for over 20 years. Karol has also taught classes for regional and local EGA events. She enjoys beading, canvaswork, counted thread, temari, and hardanger. Cathy Craig Cathy is a member of the Prairie Rose Chapter, EGA. She will share tips from her 45 years of stitching experiences at a variety of levels in various techniques. She has taught numerous chapter workshops and programs including several original designs. Currently, Cathy is completing step 6 of the Master Craftsman certification through EGA. Her favorite techniques include canvaswork, beading and counted thread work. Cindy Clark Cindy will be teaching the region class, which is open to at least one participant from each chapter (a second participant will be admitted if room allows). The participants are expected to take the project back to their chapters to teach. The teacher fee is paid by Heartland region. Kit fees are the responsibility of the chapter.

Class- Region-Sponsored Class, I Love Christmas Ornament: Program Building with NeedleArts Magazine Class Description: This 3-hour class is a two unique goals. The first part will consist of a discussion of the great projects included in NeedleArts magazine and how Tri-State NeedleArts chapter has used these projects to build interesting and varied yearly programs. The second part will highlight one of those projects, the I Love Christmas Ornament. The star stitch and satin stitch will be used. Our banquet and business meeting will be held on Saturday, October 3, at 7:00p.m. Guests and members not registered for classes may purchase tickets for dinner according to the registration schedule previously provided. Dressing in fifties clothing for dinner is optional (but encouraged -let's have fun).
