5 3. BED The bed is single piece. It is made of pearlitic grey cast iron, quality EN-GJL-300 (UNE- EN 1561 standard), with a hardness of HB, strongly reinforced by ribs at the bottom and subjected to finite element calculation. The bed is anchored on the floor by means of anchoring and levelling pads. Box type guideways hardened and ground. Hardness 450 HB. Flat morphology as the main guide, which causes us great rigidity and precision guidance in all of slides system Secundary guided is prismatic to guide tailstock and steady rest Chip output to the front with 38º inclination, which ensures an excellent chips evacuation, therefore a good thermal stability is obtained and an operator friendly ergonomic design. The great number of anchoring points generated every 500mm, with their transverse ribs that extend to the top of the bed (guide area), gives adjustability and solidity to the system. GT5 Página

6 4. HEADSTOCK The headstock is a single piece. It is made of pearlitic grey cast iron, quality EN-GJL- 300 (UNE-EN 1561 standard), with a hardness of HB, reinforced by means of ribs at the bottom and subjected to finite element calculation. Four speed ranges with automatic change, by means of a hydraulic system controlled from the CNC. Prior to every gear range change, is makes an oscillation of the main axis to prevent damage to the teeth of gears, thus avoiding breakage and wear. Main axis and gears built in alloy material in which it conducts a foundation and hardening treatment, achieving a surface hardness of Automatic lubrication system driven by a pump that sends the oil to some spreaders, which are mounted so as to provide the necessary cooling to hot points, gears, bearings, etc.. SLIDES Longitudinal slide is made of pearlitic grey cast iron, quality EN-GJL-300 (UNE-EN 1561 standard), with a hardness of HB, reinforced by means of ribs at the bottom and subjected to finite element calculation. Transversal slide is made of carbon steel. Subjected to finite element calculation. Dovetail type transversal guides and induction hardened, ground and protected with a telescoping metal cover against ingress of dust. Counterguides of the slides are covered with synthetic material with a low friction coefficient (biplast of 3 mm). This material is stuck by a glue of 2 components and bolted to the carriage itself, ensuring an optimum longer fit. Automatic lubrication of the slideways and translation mechanism with either failure or low oil pressure control system. Safety switches on the longitudinal slides to avoid any collision with the tailstock. Portable electronic handwheel for manual movement of the slides, connected to control unit by means of a cable. 9 7. FEED DRIVE AND MEASURING SYSTEM Slides movements are AC servomotors driven and the precision ballscrews with an axially preloaded double nut.. Ballscrews Z: Diameter: 63mm Pitch: 12mm Ballscrews X: Diameter:40mm Pitch: 6mm The ballscrews are resting in special bearings with regulation system and axial compensation. From 4m between centres, the longitudinal ballscrew is held by additional automatic retractile supports.. Measuring of longitudinal slide displacement is performed by a high precision rotary encoder mounted directly on the ballscrews and the measuring of transversal slide is performed with optical digital scale. TAILSTOCK The frame of the tailstock and base are made of pearlitic grey cast iron, quality EN- GJL-300 (UNE-EN 1561 standard), with a hardness of HB, reinforced by means of ribs at the bottom and subjected to finite element calculation. 12 10. COOLING AND CHIP OUTPUT Automatic chip conveyor with coolant tank in the front of machine. Forward and reverse pushbuttons in the control panel. Installation from the tank to the turret with a flow setting key. The conduction of the coolant from the tank to the turret is by pump with a flow of 70 liters/min and 1 bar pressure. Incorporates a flow control key installed at the entrance to the turret. Capacity of coolant in a conveyor of 1 meters long 500 litres. Capacity per aditional meter: 110 litres 11. LUBRICATION The lubrication system consists of a central unit controlled by the CNC that gives a delayed signal and automatically distributes the oil to several oints such as ball screws, bearings, as well as friction points located in the guides and slides. The quantity of oil of each impulse is calculated to provide proper lubrication to every element. Lubrication can be also activated mannually by push button located on the control panel. This unit has been fitted with safety and circuit control systems so that any abnormality, low oil level in tank, clogging up of piping, etc. is immediately detected and displaying off the corresponding alarm on the screen. 13 12. GUARDS Movible front guard along with the elides, with window and lamp lighting. It has interlocking device that prevents the implementation of the head while this open. Item 2. 15 13. ELECTRICAL DATA In order to connect our regulation equipment for energy return to the net, bear in mind the following requirements are required. This equipment may be connected directly in case the factory network is TN type. This concerns a symmetric three-phase AC network with 4 or 5 wires with the Star connection to ground (see fig. A). With another type of network, a separator transformer is required with the star connection of the secondary connected to ground (see fig. B). 16 14. VERIFICATIONS The machine has been geometrically verified according to NF E standard relative to Test conditions of parallel lathes with numerical control units. Verification of axes positioning is performed with a laser interpharameter according to the ISO/DIS standard. 18 18. MACHINE WARRANTY The warranty is valid for a maximum period of 12 months or 2000 operating hours (whichever first) based upon an 8 hour a day shift. The manufacturer will supply defective pieces without any charge in EX WORKS conditions; repair carried out during the warranty period and will not serve to extent this period. Renovated pieces will remain warranted in original conditions of machine. Any defective parts replaced will remain at the seller s disposal. Defective parts shall be sent by the customer to the manufacturer, once the customer has received his spare parts. If the customer requires of a technician, labour, displacements and accommodation cost will be at customers account as per the AFM established conditions. Machine warranty doesn t cover damages and operation failures of incorrect machine utilization and their accessories. Machine assembly will be done according to the instructions and foundation drawings supplied by GORATU. Not accomplishing these instructions can origin geometrical tolerances deviations. It is kindly recommended to read carefully the instructions Manual, particularly the section on SAFETY. GORATU MAQUINAS HERRAMIENTA S.A. is under no obligation to pay any compensation for accidents, material damage to goods other than the object of the contract or loss of profit.
