Shut off valves and flashback arrestors to both the oxygen and acetylene lines. Appropriate PPE provided. Welders must wear long sleeve overalls, safety boots, welding visor, welding gloves. Light curtain ensures the user cannot get close to the lowering press. User can move in to hold the workpiece once it has been clamped. Workpiece always supported by hands beneath it. Never held with hands on top. Emergency stop. Sides guarded. Guards only removed when changing top tool and bottom die. Top tool and bottom die slid into position through the side. Ensure that each piece of equipment has a lockable isolator to facilitate the lock out. Exposure to noise must be re-assessed. 4-foot Aluminium Guillotine Consider pressure sensitive mats as an alternative to the light guard at the access to the rear of the machine.
