9 GAP GAGE The TurnPro Gap Gages allow the installer or inspector to verify proper ghtening of a tube fi ng, prior to pressurizing a system. If the Gap Gage will not enter between the fi ng s nut and body hex, no addi onal ghtening is required. Using a felt p permanent marker mark the tubing at the top of the Depth Marking Tool. Remove the tubing from the Depth Marking Tool. Insert it into the tube fi ng un l it bo oms out against the shoulder of the tube fi ng. Rotate the fi ng nut un l it is finger ght. If the mark on the tubing can be seen above the nut the tubing is not fully inserted into the fi ng.
