3 INTRODUCTION Page: 4 THE DEANTA STORY Deanta Doors is a 100% Irish owned company that designs and manufactures its own range of real wood veneered interior doors, frames, skirting and architrave. Operating in both Ireland and the U.K our innovative designs have set the standard in modern and contemporary internal doors. We are driven by three simple ideals; delivering a quality product, excellence in customer service and a determination to continue innovating and leading the field in Interior Doors. As Deanta we have worked within the door industry for more than 20 years. We manufacture and supply to the trade a wide range of beautifully crafted stylish interior doors including oak, walnut and white primed doors along with a selection of FD30 fire doors. Our Fire doors are Certified and manufactured to safety standard BS 476: Part 22: 1987 (Chiltern International certification). All Deanta doors are manufactured to the highest standard with only the finest of materials ensuring you get the best from your contemporary Deanta door. We truly care about the experience our customers have with us. We welcome feedback and continually strive to deliver unsurpassed customer care. Really revamp your room with Deanta s simple, elegant and affordable wall panelling. Not only is The Edwardian wall panelling inexpensive and can save you considerable time, it is also easy to install (see wall paneling leflet for installation instructions). Complements the Deanta range of quality doors, skirtings, architraves and door hardware. SINGLE PACK OF WALL PANELLING COMES WITH NEW TO THE DEANTA RANGE EASY INSTALL WALL PANELLING Step 1 Carefully measure and align your top border. This is the most important step as it will frame the rest of your wall panelling making it quick and easy to install. Step 3 From here you can use a section from one of the panels as a spacer and mark the outline of where the beading should be placed. Step 5 Once you are happy with the placement of the beading you can go ahead and use your nail gun to nail the beading to the wall. Step 2 Once you have made sure that the top border is in the correct position you can go ahead and use your nail gun to nail it to the wall. Step 4 Using two sections on beading will ensure that you are the correct distance from the top and side of each section of panelling. Step 6 Continue until all 4 sides of the beading are nailed in place using the section of panelling to ensure all sides are level. Allow the coat to dry as per the instruction with the undercoat product. Step3 Inspect the product and check if some caulking/sanding is required. If so, apply the caulking and finish by smoothing with a fine sandpaper. Step4 Once the product is dry, apply a suitable coat finish. Allow the coat to dry for a suitable period of time. Our highly trained staff operates a rigorous quality control system to ensure that our product is free from any manufacturing defects ensuring that your door will give many years of good service, provided it is stored correctly and treated properly. Every Deanta door is guaranteed for 10 years from the date of purchase, against faulty material or manufacture, so long as it is treated in accordance with our recommendations. Please Check Your Goods on Delivery Signing for receipt of your door(s), either when delivered or collected unchecked will not be accepted. Visible damage must be noted at the time, on the delivery/receipt note for any claim to be entertained. Any claims for damaged goods or where goods supplied do not match those ordered must be reported within 3 working days of receipt. Every effort is made to supply you with the correct door in perfect condition. However as with all manufacturing process, errors can be made or a door might not be up to standard. It is imperative that you check your doors for any of the following potential faults prior to commencing alterations: Visible damage i.e. scratches, dents or chips Warping or bowing beyond the 4mm tolerance Scratches on glass (if supplied) Wrong door model supplied Wrong door size supplied Two odd doors supplied where they should be a matching pair The above are examples of potential faults/errors but this list is not exhaustive. If you notice any obvious damage to your door please do not remove from its original packaging. Storage, Site and Installation Conditions All doors must be stored in a cool, dry place and should only be stored horizontally on a clean dry surface prior to installation and it is recommended the door be allowed to acclimatise for 21 days. Timber is a natural product it expands and contracts with varying climatic conditions. Since we are unable to ascertain how our doors are stored or installed, we cannot give a guarantee against shrinkage, splitting or warping above our stated tolerance. Moisture content of timber needs to be kept at acceptable levels. Deanta doors are manufactured with a moisture content of between 10%-12%. Doors should not be on site until moisture readings are between 40%-60% relative humidity, and until after any forced-drying procedure has been completed. Making Alterations Please remember that, fitting or finishing your Deanta door or making alterations in any way will imply you deemed to have accepted the goods as supplied. Unfortunately, we cannot replace a faulty or incorrectly supplied door if ANY ALTERATIONS have been carried out. Assuming that you have checked your door over thoroughly, the maximum that your door can be altered in width is by 2mm off each edge for FD30 and 5mm for non-fire rated doors. However, should you cut into the core of your door and expose the particle board or semi solid core, then the structure of the door will be compromised and this would need to be recovered and then re-sealed immediately we recommend using qualified installers to carry out the work. Condition of Sale In the event of proven manufacturing defect in a door, the seller s liability is limited to the replacement of the door and this shall in all cases not exceed the price of the door. The seller shall not be responsible for any losses or additional costs incurred. Fitting Installation of Deanta doors must comply with relevant technical manuals for fire rating which are available on our website or on request. Extra care must be taken when fitting bespoke fire doors. Deanta doors must not be hung in damp or newly plastered rooms or suddenly exposed to central heating or other forms of direct heat.
