It can also be easily cut for partially in-ground pools as well. The skirting package can be purchased for any size and any depth pool and comes in 2, 3, or 4 sides. Utilizing the air gap between the pool wall and the insulation adhered to the back of the skirting; this provides your pool with additional insulation value. This system can be install indoor or outdoors. Additional Considerations This system requires a wood framing be constructed around the pool to accept the skirting sections. These instructions illustrate how to install this framing. Read this entire installation instruction before beginning to gauge how many 2x3s and 2x4s are required. The number of 2x3s and 2x4s that are required will be dictated by the size, depth, and the number of sides to be skirted. For example, a 10 x16 x48 pool that will have 4 sided skirting will require eight 2x4x12s, eight 2x4x8s, and five 2x3x8s. Should you use pressure treated wood, it cannot come in direct contact with the galvanized panels. Some type of barrier will be required.

2 Page 2 of 9 Installation Instructions Wood Framing Begin by cutting a 2x4 that is 13 longer than the pool s width (inside dimension). While this piece is typically one length of material, it can be comprised of 2 pieces. Find the center of the front panel and make a mark on the strength bend (outside vertical edge) of the top flange. Find the center of the 2x4 and make a mark on the 1-1/2 side. Align the center of the 2x4 with the center mark on the front panel and attach the 2x4 (Board A) to the strength bend with the provided reamer tip screws. The 3-1/2 face of the 2x4 should be resting against the top flange and just to the lip of the Aluminum Coping. Board A Cut a 2x3 that is 13 longer than the pool s width (inside dimension). Place this 2x3 (Board B) against board A. Board B should be positioned so that ends are aligned with the ends of board A and is perpendicular to board A. Use the provided 4 wood screws to attach. Board B Board A

3 Page 3 of 9 Cut another 2x4 that is 13 longer than the pool s width (inside dimension) and place it on edge on the floor immediately behind the front panel right below Board B (). Again, this can be multiple lengths of 2x4. In each of the front corners, take a measurement from the top edge of board B to the top edge of board C. Cut a 2x4 to each of those lengths; make sure that you mark which one is left and right (when standing behind the front panel facing the rear of the pool, the left vertical 2x4 is board D and the right vertical 2x4 is board E). D E Next, toenail boards D & E into board C so that the outside edge of the boards D & E are aligned with the end of board C. Use the provided 2-1/2 wood screws. Again, make sure that board D is on the left and E is on right.

4 Page 4 of 9 Set boards D & E up against board B. Make sure that the outer edges of the vertical 2x4s are aligned with the ends of Board B. Use the provided 2-1/2 wood screws to attach. Board B Board A Next take a measurement from inside edge to inside edge of the vertical 2x4s and cut a 2x3 to that length (Board F). Place board F just underneath the coping and screw it to board B using the 2-1/2 wood screws. Board B Board D Board F Board F Note: if you purchased our optional Retractable Security Cover and you intend to install the cover roller at the front of the pool, then cut a 2 nd 2x3(Board G) to the same length as board F and attach it to the vertical 2x4s 7-1/2 down from the underside of the coping. Again, use the provided 2-1/2 wood screws to attach. Board F 7-1/2 Board G

5 Page 5 of 9 Additional bracing is needed at the base of the panels to ensure that skirting framing stay vertically level. Cut 2 lengths of 2x4 to 10-1/2 long. Place the 3-1/2 face of this short 2x4 against a Z brace at the base of the front panel. Use one of the provided reamer tip screws to attach the 2x4 to the Z brace. Then use one of the 2-1/2 wood screws to attach the short 2x4 to board C. 10-1/2 2x4 bracing At the base of the remaining panels, run another 2x4 on edge along the sides that are to be skirted. Run the lower 2x4 to an adjacent wall if only two sides are to be skirted or 5 beyond the wall of the panel(s) if three or four sides are to be skirted. Continue running a 2x4 around the base of the panel on every side that is to be skirted. This 2x4 will have to be anchored to the pool to keep the skirting vertically level. Cut 5 lengths of 2x4 and attach them to a Z brace with the provided reamer tip screws and use the 2-1/2 wood screws to secure the 5 pieces to the lower 2x4. Attach the 5 support to the pool approximately every 24 or to the closest Z brace. This lower 2x4 should be vertically aligned with the outside edge of the top flange; which will keep the skirting vertically level.

Skirting The synthetic skirting will come in 40 wide sections and will be as tall as the pool that you ordered. The number of sides that you intend to skirt will dictate the number of sections. The first step is to create an access panel. This panel will be located at the front of the pool and needs to be easily removable in order to access all of your poolside equipment. On each panel there will be a tongue on one side and a groove on the other. Use a utility knife to score the backside of the groove on this access panel. After several passes you will be able to break off the backside of the groove. Start at the front of the pool. Decide the optimal position for your access panel. The position of your access panel is will be dictated by which options you have chosen. For example, if you have chosen hydrotherapy jets you will need to maintain access to that pump. Two different trim screws have been provided. A self-drilling trim screw will be used to attach the top of the skirting to the top flange and a wood trim screw will be used to attach the bottom of the skirting to the wood frame. Note: if you intend to

7 Page 7 of 9 put your Retractable Security Cover roller at the front of the pool, then attach the access door to board G. The following picture illustrates an access opening when completed. Take the section of skirting that will be immediately to the right of the access panel and cut off the backside of the groove as described above. This will allow for easy removal of the access panel once the skirting is complete. The remaining sections of skirting will not require any modification and will remain intact. Place this section to the right of the access panel so that the front side of the groove is overlapping the tongue of the access panel. Place another section of skirting to the left of the access door so that tongue of this section is seated behind the groove of the access panel. Again, use the provided trim screws to attach.

8 Page 8 of 9 Keep installing the sections of skirting moving away from the access panel until either a room wall or a corner is reached. Cut the excess skirting away, making it tight to a wall, or at a corner, cut it so that the end of the skirting is approximately 1 short of the end of the wood framing. This 1 space is to allow the corner trim piece to fit correctly. Turning the corner, use the excess skirting pieces as the first section of the long wall. Again, make sure that this piece of skirting is 1 away from the corner of the wood framing. Continue this process until all the intended sides have been skirted. Skirting Section A Skirting Section A is 1 away from this point of wood framing. In the corner where two sides of skirting meet, corner trim pieces have been provided. Place the corner trim tightly against the skirting and use the provided trim screws to attach.

9 Page 9 of 9 Floor trim has also been provided. Cut the floor trim to fit and attach it to the skirting with the provided trim screws. At the front of the pool, your wood framing will extend beyond the outside edge of the Aluminum Coping. You will use a plank of the skirting to attach to the horizontal surface of the wood frame. Any skirting that is attached to the long side of the pool will have to be trimmed so that it is flush with horizontal surface of the wood framing. If a more finished look is desired, the end of the horizontal plank can be mitered.
