Your objective in this funny puzzle game is to find the shortest step between you and your target and complete all of 300 puzzles in this puzzle game.

3 Project title: Short path puzzle in the light of GpsGame enabled scenario. Description of the project: Facts of real existing game: Short Path is a nice puzzle game which is available online to play in which you have to find the shortest route to the girl. Your objective in this funny puzzle game is to find the shortest step between you and your target and complete all of 300 puzzles in this puzzle game. To achieve that you must use your mouse to click the tile on the game board and connect you and your target. After that, click your target to start the move. In the game, you will meet some obstacles or step bonuses. Obstacles will increase your step count and bonuses will decrease your step count. You will also find unknown holes; they can be trap or normal holes. The game has 300 levels (100 easy, 100 normal and 100 hard) that will keep you busy for a while. My proposed game: The previous information is about the original game that How to play it, Now my work is to make this game a GPS enabled Game. But I am doing this task with two modifications. The number one modification is that in the original game the source is only the boy and the destination is only the girl but in my game to make it more interesting and funny to increase the fun factor I will consider this game for the both gender somehow fun factor is

4 quite even, regardless of age and gender by Gunnar Misund et al [1] and this decision takes before the game starts that which gender you are. And select the gender accordingly. I take any real play ground or simply ground or park exists on the earth to play the game on it s virtually and our target is also virtually exist. The movement of the source is done by physically running on the ground through the GPS enabled mobile set pick by the source. [3] And the second modification is that I make this game a multiplayer game because the already existed game is single player. The description of the game is I already mentioned before. But in the multiplayer game I change the rule of the game. Now from source to destination there are many paths available with the same distance now among many players who reach first to the destination with minimum time that will be the winner of the game. Game Plan: I am going to make this game in to three parts. Part 1: Simple one: In which I am going to make simple workable game. I am going to take two corridors of the same length may be in our university. Where two game players are going to run and their decision of winning is depend on the timer which is running on their mobile without any server involvement and without any communication of both mobiles. Part 2: blue tooth enabled: In the part 2 I will take feedbacks from the people after make some tournaments of the game and watch how people react on the game and take comments from the people that how they think about the game and how further I will improve this game. Then I am going to upgrade the previous one with using the blue tooth technology in order to communicate to each other with the feedbacks of the people. Part 3: GPS Enabled: In the part 3 I am going to use GPS technology, of course server involves here to communicate. And again conduct a survey on the previous game to take feedbacks. What I think that how much I will succeed: I am pretty much sure Tool and Technology: I am going to use the J2ME.

5 What makes this an interesting project? When you are going to make an already exist computer game into the physical game, you can t say it exactly the physical game or mergence of both I think this factor make this project interesting. What makes this a mobile application? Using of the GPS technology and the display screen through which we can monitor that currently where we are and how far is our destination. And the track where the source is moving we can done this by other devices but I think in order to done this by other devices the our mobile handset is the best option if they are such capable. What makes this a social application? The crowd watching all this fun through the naked eye or through the desktop or web enabled screens I think these interaction make the application social. But we can make this game more social by made it playable for more than one player. If more than one player is playing then we have to change the rule of thumb of the game now from source to destination there are many paths available with the same distance now among many players who reach first to the destination with minimum time that will be the winner of the game. What capabilities of a mobile phone will be used in your project? GPS receiver. What similar projects/applications are already in existence? foxhunt. (In the reference of GPS enabled game)

6 What potential pitfalls, challenges, threats and privacy issues can affect your project/application? There are many concerns using the GPS technology because in this you are going to use the satellite based system to locate the position of the mobile. I think the integration of the game interface with the GPS interface is the major challenge of the game. There is another issue that what happens when a call comes on mobile during the game. I propose the solution that this decision is done by the player before starting the game that he want to do that he want to receive the call during the game or not. If the player sets the setting yes its mean an important call expected during the game and of course that calls worth is more than game than we don t need to worry may be he quit the game or later he will continue this is his/her personal choice.
