Otherwise you ll be confused. Sunday I m hoppy to report that I m OK! (Heh.) WIMPY STEVE: A BAD HARE DAY! Yeah, I may have overreacted a little bit at the end of my last Minecraft diary. What do you expect? The floating book I opened was about a Killer Bunny! I was a bit freaked out. And remember I had just spent the last month or so in the Cat House World, with gigantic spiders jumping on my head and attacking me! (Have I mentioned yet how much I hate spiders?) So I know that giant critters trying to kill me are a very real possibility or should I say probability in Minecraft! Let me start from the beginning When I opened the floating book, Killer Bunny: Fact or Fiction?, in the library of the Cat House, I was immediately pulled out of that Minecraft world and plopped here, in front of an enormous bunny! And I mean ENORMOUS! Naturally my first reaction was Killer Bunny! (possibly followed by a high-pitched scream). But come on, it was at least 50 blocks high! It wore a ferocious, angry scowl! And it had two gigantic, razor-sharp teeth that I was sure were ready to chomp me in half! I did NOT want to be gnawed to death by Titanic-sized teeth!

6 I immediately threw myself behind the closest tree. ( Hide first, ask questions later. Minecraft Wisdom) Then I checked out my surroundings luckily, no mobs in the immediate area and saw flowers everywhere! There were flowers in all different shapes, sizes, and colors purple, red, white, and orange. It was a nice change from being in the jungle with all the green, green, and more green. However, there were still plenty of trees around for mobs to hide under during the daytime. The good news was that the trees weren t packed close together, making shade everywhere, like in the jungle. If I had to guess, I d say that between all the flowers, and all the trees, I was in some sort of a flower forest. It looked like the perfect setting for a fairy tale, not a killer rabbit! After a few minutes, I came to the conclusion that the bunny was a ginormous animal house for the following reasons: 1) No earth-shaking, gigantic bunny feet hopping toward me! 2) No impossibly-huge incisors impaling me! 3) No 25-mile-per-hour winds pulling me toward a giant bunny nose as it sniffed my scent! I peeked around the tree, and saw that the bunny was still in the exact same spot. So I figured it was safe to come out. As I took a closer look at it, I noticed that I may have let my imagination run away with me a little bit. (Shocking, huh?) The bunny wasn t really 50 blocks tall. The teeth weren t exactly razor sharp. And, to be completely honest, it wasn t scowling ferociously. In fact, it was actually really cute. It was pale grey, with huge Thumper-like back legs, big dark eyes, and a pink button nose. (Can you still call it a button nose if it s the size of a sofa?) And once I realized the teeth weren't going to chomp me in half, they didn t look scary at all. I already had some experience with animal shaped houses, so I knew that they could sometimes be tricky to get into. (Yeah, I m still kind of embarrassed about the Glow Low 2 Enter fiasco at the Cat House.) As I approached the front of the big bunny, I kept a sharp eye out for hidden doors. I immediately spotted a grey iron door in the bunny s side, with a grey plate on the ground in front of it. I assumed it opened the door like in the Cat House, and wouldn t explode like the boom blocks in the desert temples. Who d be crazy (or stupid) enough to blow up the side of their own house? This was going to be easy! (Or so I thought.)

7 Then a zombie shuffled out from behind a tree, and straight over to the door. I was shocked speechless. Questions bounced around in my brain like: What was a zombie doing out in broad daylight? Why wasn t it burning up? And most importantly, did this new world have Super Zombies?! *gulp* Then I noticed that it was wearing some sort of brown helmet. I didn t have time to wonder why a zombie was wearing a hat because it stepped on the grey plate and opened the door! Oh great! I hadn t even gotten into the house, and it was already being invaded by zombies! Even worse, I knew at once that I d never be safe there if zombies and other mobs could just let themselves in! It was awful! The next part happened in a split second. When the iron door swung open, an arrow whizzed out of the doorway, and slammed into the zombie! It was knocked backward into a tree right behind it. THUD! And then things got really weird the ground opened up under the zombie! I sprinted over to see what had happened, but by the time I got there the zombie was gone! The ground had literally swallowed it up! That s when I realized the iron door wasn t an entrance it was a deadly booby trap! Maybe it WAS a Killer Bunny after all! Wow, it was a good thing that zombie showed up. (I never thought I d say that!) Just think if I had tried the door first. I d have been the one skewered by an arrow and then flung down the disappearing hole. So I went in search of a non-deadly door. I stayed clear of the gulping ground and crept toward the front of the bunny house, checking for any signs, buttons, or levers along the way. Nothing. Not one single clue! Then I discovered another iron door on the other side of the bunny, along with another grey plate on the ground (a.k.a. an unwelcome mat). I assumed it was a booby trap too, and walked far, far around it. When I reached the bunny s butt, I found something I d never seen before. There was a glowing, jagged-y, red line snaking through the grass around a set of four open trapdoors in a big hole in the ground. Yes! A secret door! But when I peered down the hole, I saw bubbling lava! Another trap! Yep, definitely a Killer Bunny!

8 Then just a few blocks farther away, I noticed yet another trapdoor in the ground. Another trap? Nope. When I opened it, I saw a ladder leading down to a small room. Now that looked more like an entrance. But an entrance to what? The room was about the same size as one of my panic rooms. (And we all know how much I love those!) Unfortunately, at that point the sun was starting to set. I figured I had three options: 1) Build my own panic room out of dirt, which would just scream to all the mobs, Hey, newbie here! Come and get me! 2) Try entering the bunny house through one of the iron doors, and dodge the arrows so that I didn t become a shish-kabob for a mob! 3) Spend the night in this underground panic room, and hide out from the mobs under the trap door! I took a good long (at least a few seconds) look into the room and concluded it was safe for the following reasons: - No spiderwebs (hopefully no spiders)! Check. - No clinky-clunking, moaning, or hissing sounds! Check. - No slimes bouncing off the walls! Check. - No pools of molten lava! Check. - No bones or other items floating above the ground! Check. I figured an underground panic room would be less obvious to mobs than one above ground, so I gathered my courage, and climbed down the ladder. As I turned around, I guessed it was some sort of control room because there was a lever, and buttons, and signs all over the walls. Unfortunately, there was also LAVA! Yep, right behind me was a whole wall of flowing lava! Only a couple of iron bars and boards kept the bubbling lava from spilling into the room! Ugh! I did not want to turn out like that potato I tried to bake in the Dog House World! It turned out that panic room was a pretty accurate name for that place after all. A second later, a zombie fell into the lava next to me, and burst into flames! And I panicked! I was done! I was outta there! I was heading out to make my own dirt panic room! I made it halfway up the ladder before I looked up and saw eight, angry, glowing red eyes staring down at me through the trap door. Suddenly, the lava, the mystery buttons, and the flaming zombie didn t seem so bad after all.

9 Even though I was safe from the mobs outside, I still didn t want to spend the night in that killer lava closet! I jumped every time a mob fell into the lava and fried in the flames! It was like a giant, disgusting bug zapper (a.k.a. the Mob Zapper 3000)! After staring at the signs on the wall, I realized they were riddles. And past experience had taught me, where there were riddles, there were hidden doorways. So maybe it was a trick doorway! I hoped it led into the Bunny House (and not another trap). And I REALLY hoped I could solve the riddles not a huge strength of mine to open the secret door. I did NOT want to spend the night in there with falling flaming zombies on one side, and hissy, menacing spiders above! I figured the first step was to turn off the Mob Zapper 3000! Above the lava wall was a button, and below that a sign on the wall with the words Push 4 Glow Flow written on it. The lava was the only thing down there that was glowing and flowing, so I assumed that s what it referred to. I REALLY hoped that pushing the button wouldn t send lava pouring into the room with me! I had one hand on the ladder, ready to scramble up it, just in case I needed to make a quick escape. I gathered my courage (in other words, squinched my eyes closed and held my breath), reached up and pressed the button over the lava. There was a click, and when I opened my eyes again, all the lava was gone! Woohoo! I didn t create a lava lake under me! Unfortunately, there was still a stone wall blocking my way. Next, it was time to test the second part of my hunch a hidden door. The sign next to the lever said Flip In, Flip Out. I figured that the lever would open some sort of hidden door, like in the Dog House. (I hoped it DIDN T mean that by flipping the lever, mobs would flip in which would make me flip out! ) With one hand on the ladder again (hey, you can t be too careful), I reached over and flipped the lever. The stone blocks in the lava area slid down, while the back wall blocks pulled apart and disappeared into the walls. Yes! A secret passageway! I glanced up as I walked through where the lava used to flow, and saw that all four of the trapdoors were closed. I could get through, but nothing could come in from the outside. That was really cool because there were two spiders having a hissy fit up on the trapdoors! I assumed the elaborate entrance was built by the same hacker kid who had built all the other houses. I ll say this, whoever he was, he was good. VERY good! I didn t even know how it worked, let alone how to build it. I wonder if the weird glowing red line up in the grass had anything to do with it?

I walked down the tunnel until it ended at a set of stairs. Looking up, I saw a huge stack of chests piled all the way up to the ceiling of a big room. Jackpot!

It had to be the inside of the Bunny House! I sprinted up the stairs and scoped it out. Here s all the cool stuff I found in the room: 1) A crafting table 2) An old fashioned microwave 3) A smoking test tube set 4) A small black table (an anvil?) 5) Two random levers on the floor (Hmm?) 6) A magic fountain set into a nook in the wall 7) A library with a floating book table. I crept cautiously up to the floating book table and took a quick peek at the book. It was titled Minecraft Mysteries! I d already solved plenty of mysteries just to get inside the Bunny House, and most of them could have KILLED me! I was NOT ready to face MORE Minecraft mysteries in some other unknown world! Who knew how painful they d be? Or how deadly?! I figured I d stay away from that book for a while. (A LONG while!) There was also a loft area above the library, at the top of another staircase. It had some more chests, and of course, the same painting of the old guy that was in all the other houses. (Yep, definitely the hacker kid!) And best of all, it had a bed! After a quick look around, the next thing I did was thoroughly search all the chests. They were empty except for one. Luckily, it held something very valuable: a torn page!

11 Pay attention to what?! Boy, I hate it when the pages cut off like that! Was this deliberately done to aggravate me? Well, it worked! On the other hand, the news was awesome!
