3 Our Business Model Our role is to bring buyer and seller together whether it be through retail purchases, stamp and coin fairs or exhibi9ons and auc9oning. When it comes to our record in selling collectables, our impressive performance figures tell the story of our success.

5 The Prospero CollecBon The much an9cipated sale of The Prospero Collec9on of ancient Greek coins in January 2012 far exceeded expecta9ons. Every single lot in the auc9on sold for a combined sale total of US$25,995,294. The coin pictured here sold for an incredible US$3,800,000, se[ng a new world record for the highest achieving ancient Greek coin. Interna9onal pre and post sale publicity for the collec9on a\racted interest from a diverse range of markets and included footage used by Reuters and CNN.

6 The Bentley CollecBon 2012/13 sees Noble Investments handle the sale of the mul9- million pound Bentley Collec9on The Bentley Collec9on contains over 1,200 coins and is one of the most complete runs of Milled Bri9sh and Colonial Branch Royal Mint Sovereigns to come to auc9on for many decades. Part one of the auc9on achieved 900,000. The collec9on, to be sold in three parts, is es9mated to achieve several 9mes this figure. We are currently working on securing further collec9ons of this calibre for 2013/14

8 The team Ian Goldbart (Managing Director) is A. H. Baldwin & Sons Ltd s Managing Director. He played an instrumental role in bringing Noble Investments (UK) PLC and A. H. Baldwin &Sons Ltd. together in 2004 and integra9ng the two businesses in Baldwin s premises at 11 Adelphi Terrace. Since then, he has skilfully managed the expansion and diversifica9on of the group into other areas of the collec9bles industry. Previously a stockbroker for over 25 years, Ian has been a passionate collector of English coins for more than 25 years. Edward Baldwin (Director and Chairman of A H Baldwin & Sons Ltd, specialist in European, Russian, Colonial and Oriental Coins, Military Medals and DecoraBons, Books ) is the longest standing member of the current Baldwin s team, joining A.H. Baldwin in He founded Baldwin s auc9on business in 1993 and has been responsible for colla9ng the legendary Baldwin s library. Edward is a member of the Royal Numisma9c Society, the Bri9sh Numisma9c Society and the Russian Numisma9c Society. Seth Freeman (Director, specialist in Banknotes and Tokens) joined Baldwin s in 1996 ajer gradua9ng from Southampton University with a degree in History. He has since become a director of the company and runs Baldwin s auc9on department. Seth has been instrumental in building alliances with partners interna9onally that have enabled Baldwin s to stage regular events in London, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai. He is the current treasurer for the BNTA (Bri9sh Numisma9c Trade Associa9on) council through which he campaigns to bring greater awareness of the Bri9sh numisma9c industry. Dimitri Loulakakis OSJ (Malta) (Director, specialist in English, European and LaBn American Coins, modern Greek Coins ) is a director of A. H. Baldwin &Sons and a key member of the numisma9c team, bringing over 50 years of experience and a wealth of professional contacts as a coin dealer to the company. He is a consultant and buyer for the Na9onal Greek Numisma9c Museum and the Greek Ministry of Culture. His exper9se ranges from Ancient to English and European coins and medals and he is considered a world authority on the modern Greek coinage as well as on English milled gold and silver coins. Stephen Hill, (Director of A H Baldwin & Sons Ltd, specialist in English hammered and milled Coins) joined A. H. Baldwin &Sons as a company Director in September 2005 having worked in the numisma9c industry since he lej school. He is a well regarded and respected numisma9st with a worldwide reputa9on for his skill at cataloguing and valuing coins. He is a member (and former council member) of the Bri9sh Numisma9c Society, the American Numisma9c Associa9on, and regional numisma9c socie9es in Ireland and Yorkshire. Rick Warren, (Director of Apex Philatelics t/a A H Baldwin & Sons Ltd, specialist in UK & World Stamps) Co- founder of Apex Philatelics Limited, Rick is now a director of A.H. Baldwin & Sons Ltd. Rick is one of the few dealers who has spent his en9re working life in the philatelic industry. Fluent in 4 languages he is one of very few dealers who has worked full 9me in virtually all aspects of the stamp trade. He is a Council member of the Philatelic Traders' Society.

9 Tim Francis, (BA Hons) (Director Apex Philatelics t/a A H Baldwin & Sons Ltd, specialist in UK & World Stamps), Tim studied Medieval History at Sheffield University and took his first posi9on in the philatelic arena ajer gradua9on. His expert knowledge of early GB was acquired in his first two posi9ons with Steven Braham and The Royale Stamp Company. Tim joined forces with Rick to launch Apex in 1994 as principle buyer and describer. In addi9on to his specialised GB knowledge he has all- round stamp exper9se. Travelling widely Tim spends a significant amount of 9me trading in the USA and is a member of The American Stamp Dealers Associa9on. Andre De Clermont (Specialist in Islamic, Indian & South American coins) Having worked closely with the Baldwin s auc9on department as a consultant for many years, André de Clermont has recently joined us to assist with the ongoing expansion of our Islamic coin department. He began his career at Spink in 1968 and ended his career there as a main board director, later becoming a director of Baldwin s Auc9ons. Originally specialising in tokens, he quickly moved on to coins and became well known as an expert on South American coinage. He was instrumental in opening the collector market for Islamic coins in the 1980s and is a popular and highly respected figure in the numisma9c world. Paul Hill (Specialist in Ancient Greek, Roman and ByzanBne Coins), joined Baldwin s in September 2005 having previously worked at Spink London for five years where he had been responsible for their ancient coin department since He is a Fellow and former council member of the Royal Numisma9c Society; a member of the Bri9sh Numisma9c Society; the American Numisma9c Society; the American Numisma9c Associa9on and has a first class honours degree and a Masters degree in Ancient History from the University of London. Graham Byfield (Specialist, Indian & Islamic Coins & CommemoraBve Medals), has worked at Baldwins for nine years since gradua9ng from Newcastle University with a degree in French, Spanish and Classical Studies. He specialises in Indian and Islamic coins and Commemora9ve Medals as well as being ac9vely involved in the group s auc9on business. Graham was principle cataloguer for the Michael Hall Collec9on of Renaissance and later medals. He is on the Execu9ve Commi\ee of the Interna9onal Associa9on of Professional Numisma9sts (IAPN), and is Chairman of the IAPN Membership Commi\ee. Colin Avery (Specialist, UK & World Stamps) Colin joined Apex in July this year ajer 14 years with Stanley Gibbons, where he worked his way up from Auc9on Describer to Auc9on & Buyers Manager. He brings with him 30 years of experience in the philatelic industry having started his career working for Ross Shields. During his 9me at Stanley Gibbons he managed both the auc9on and buyer s departments as well as Fraser s Autographs, the autograph and memorabilia trading subsidiary of Stanley Gibbons. David Kirk (Specialist, Military Medals & English hammered and milled Coins), joined Baldwin s in July 2007, having previously gained an undergraduate degree in Theology from the University of Oxford at Lady Margaret Hall, and then a subsequent Master s degree in Archaeology from the University of Edinburgh. Since joining the team at Baldwin s, David has forged his specialisms in Military Medals and Bri9sh Milled and Hammered Coinage, and was responsible for re- opening of the Baldwin s medal department in Caroline Holmes (Specialist, NumismaBc Books) graduated from the University of Southampton with a degree in the History of Art and subsequently a\ained a Masters in the same subject from the Royal Holloway University before joining the coin department at Spink London in In 2005 she made the transi9on at Spink to their Numisma9c Book department and shortly ajer joined the team at Baldwin s to con9nue in a similar role.. Laurent Stainvurcel (Specialist, English, European and LaBn American Coins) is the newest member of Baldwin s expert team, joining the company in June 2008 as a Numisma9c Assistant having graduated from the Sorbonne University in Paris with a degree in History. Since then, Laurent has been studying numisma9cs at the Ecole Pra9que des Hautes Etudes and for a Masters in Ancient History at Birkbeck University of London as well as building his specialism in European coinage. Olivia Odell (Specialist, Autographs) Olivia graduated from University College London with a BA in the History of Art with Material Studies in Throughout her degree, and subsequent to gradua9on, she worked as Auc9ons Coordinator for Fraser's Autographs where she regularly sourced suitable material for sale, as well as authen9ca9ng and valuing philography for cer9fica9on. She has a wide ranging area of autograph specialism, recognising individuals signing and handwri9ng styles from Presidents, military figures and sports personali9es to ar9sts, religious leaders and astronauts.
