3 Boink Kiosk System BOM (Box Office Manager) - Controls all SF6 kiosk through the BKCP (Kiosk Control Panel) software - Hosts the Transaction Database Server - Connects to the Movie Database Server Change REAR VIEW FRONT VIEW (Client Kiosk) - Receives the product information from the client through a graphic interface application - Holds all payment devices SIDE VIEW REAR VIEW Z-3 (Dispensing Kiosk) - Controlled by the kiosk - Holds al cash dispensing devices 2

4 Boink Kiosk System Safety Precautions Our SF6 Kiosk is built with 16-calibre high security steel complying with ISO9001 quality regulations. The removal of the power plate may expose you to live voltage terminals. To reduce the potential of a shock, our kiosks have a polarized plug (one grounded blade), which will fit only one way in a polarized outlet. Never use this plug with an extension cord unless it fits properly. 110 /120 volt outlet Our kiosks are designed to use 110/120 volt outlets. 3

8 General Description Magnetic Card Reader The Magnetic Card Reader accepts all credit and debit cards. It has two top mounted reader heads and thus will read any card inserted with its magnetic stripe towards the top. 7

9 Bill Acceptor The bill acceptor unit is composed of an electronic acceptance unit and a detachable Bill Stacker. It accepts $1, $5,$10, $20, $50 and $100 U.S. dollars bills. They can be inserted four ways, in any direction. Bill Stacker 8

10 Bill Acceptor Procedures To Empty the Bill Acceptor Open the Component 1 Access Door 2 Identify the Bill Acceptor Tray BILL ACCEPTOR 3 Pull out the bill tray 9

11 Bill Acceptor Procedures To Empty the Bill Acceptor 4 Take the bill stacker with both hands 5 Press the release pegs and take out the bill stacker. 6 6 Open the bill stacker by rotating its lock handle counterclockwise 10

12 Bill Acceptor Procedures To Empty the Bill Acceptor 7 Open the bill stacker door 8 Take out the bills 9 Close the stacker by rotating its lock handle clockwise 11

13 Bill Acceptor Procedures To Empty the Bill Acceptor 10 Re-insert the bill stacker. Push it gently from below until it clicks you should hear a mechanical noise if the stacker is correctly inserted. 12 Push the tray inside the kiosk until it clicks in place. Make sure it is fully inserted. 12

15 Bill Acceptor Procedures Bill Acceptor Jamming 4 Take the bill stacker with both hands 6 5 Press the release pegs and take out the bill stacker. 6 Open the device by pushing the button on its upper side. 14

16 Bill Acceptor Procedures Bill Acceptor Jamming 7 Take the jammed Bill off. 8 Dry the inside with a compressed air can. 9 Close the device by pushing the upper button down, and closing gently the doors. 15

18 Coin Acceptor The coin acceptor unit is composed of an electronic acceptance unit and a coin box placed underneath the unit. It accepts 5 cents, Dimes, Quarters and 1 dollar coins. rejected coins accepted coins 17

20 Coin Acceptor Procedures To Empty the Coin Box 4 Empty the Coin box by turning it upside down. 5 Push the Coin box back into its original position. Push it all the way in! 19

21 Printer Procedures Changing the Printer's Paper 1 Open the Component Access Door. 2 Identify the printer tray and pull it. 3 Pull up the blue lever found on the left side of the printer. This releases the paper. 20

22 Printer Procedures Changing the Printer's Paper 4 Pull out the old paper roll. 5 Remove the paper roller from the paper roll. 6 Get a new paper roll and place the paper roller in it. 21

23 Printer Procedures Changing the Printer's Paper 7 Place the paper roll in its original position. 8 9 Insert the end of the paper roll into the printer (about 2 inches). Make sure the paper rolls from the top. Push down the blue lever back to its original position to secure the paper. If properly done, the paper will be automatically fed into the printer and cut. 22

24 Printer Procedures Changing the Printer's Paper 10 Test the printer by pressing the black test button, located in the left side of the printer. 11 Take the test paper from the front of the printer. 12 Push the tray back into its original position. 23

25 Touch Screen Procedures Cleaning the Touch Screen 1 2 Take a cloth towel and apply a small amount of rubbing alcohol to it. Do not spray the screen directly. Do not use windex or other cleaning supplies. Clean the touch screen gently and uniformly until it is completely cleaned. 24

26 Back-Lit Advertising Module Procedures Changing the Fluorescent Light 1 Press the acrylic upwards, until it pops out and remove it from the unit. 2 Turn the fluorescent light counterclockwise to release it from its socket. 3 Put in a new fluorescent light and align its ends with the sockets perforations. 25

27 Back-Lit Advertising Module Procedures Changing the Fluorescent Light 4 Turn the fluorescent light clockwise to secure it in the socket. Make sure it lights up. 5 Place the poster back in its original place. 26

29 Bill Dispenser Procedures Refilling the Bill Dispenser Z-3 1 Locate the bill reject bin 2 Lift the green lever to release the reject bin and pull it out 3 Empty its contents. and make sure to push it back into position until it clicks in place. 28

Bill trays must not get placed in the wrong bin, as this would cause the machine to dispense the wrong currency! 6 Lift the green lever with your right hand to release the cassette, while at the same time, with your left hand, gently pull out the cassette 29

31 Bill Dispenser Procedures Refilling the Bill Dispenser Z-3 7 Open the tray lid. 8 9 Make sure all the bills are in good condition and have no folded edges. If there are bills in bad condition put them in the reject bin. Make sure there aren't any paper clips, staples, taped or torn bills in the stack you are about to insert. 30

32 Bill Dispenser Procedures Refilling the Bill Dispenser Z-3 10 Locate the reject bin on the Z-3 and put all the damaged bills there. 11 Arrange the bills so they are all properly aligned. Take your time to do this carefully! 12 Place the bills on the tray by lifting gently and pulling back the pusher to make room for the bills. After the bills are placed, release the pusher. 31

33 Bill Dispenser Procedures Refilling the Bill Dispenser Z-3 13 Close the lid X The tray's lid can easily jam and not close properly. Please make sure that it is completely closed before reinserting it. Put the cassette back into its place. Make sure the bill tray goes into its proper denomination slot. 32

34 Coin Hopper Procedures Refilling the Coin Hopper Z-3 1 Open the Z-3 back door 2 Identify the coin hopper. 3 Insert the coins in the hopper. Inserting the wrong coins will cause the machine to dispense the wrong currency amount and may damage the hopper. 33

36 Coin Acceptor Jamming 1 Open the Component Access Door 2 Locate the coin acceptor 3 Remove the coin acceptor by pulling up the safety tab of the device. Be very careful, as it can break easily. 35

37 Coin Acceptor Jamming 4 Unplug the coin acceptor before taking it out. 5 6 Find the cover of the device where the coins are inserted, and pull it to release the jammed coin. Take out the jammed coin and place the device again in the kiosk. 36

38 Coin Acceptor Jamming 7 Re-connect the cable. 8 Place the device back into its original position. 37

39 Bill Dispenser Jamming Z-3 1 Open the Z-3's Back Door 2 Pull out the bill dispenser tray 3 Pull out both bill cassettes and the reject bin 38

40 Bill Dispenser Jamming Z-3 4 Turn the bill dispenser knob counter clockwise to extract the jammed bills... 5 Until they fall in the reject bin. 6 Check that the rubber bands are completely clear and in place. If the bands fall off their gears STOP! Call (866) GO-BOINK 39

41 Bill Dispenser Jamming Z-3 7 Run the HAWK diagnostic program 8 Press the Debug Multi Pick Button or the F2 key 9 Press the Multi Purge Button or the F2 key. 40

42 Bill Dispenser Jamming Z-3 10 If the report is Operation Completed Successfully, go to step 19 (test dispense) 11 If the report is Pick Sensor Failure, go to step If the report is Lost Bill on Exit, go to step 16 41

43 Bill Dispenser Jamming Z-3 13 PICK SENSOR FAILURE Clean the sensors and vacuum pumps with isopropylic alcohol wet towels 14 Dry the inside with a compressed air can 15 Repeat the Multi Purge Operation (F2) until it reports Operation Completed Successfully. Then, go to step

44 Bill Dispenser Jamming Z-3 16 LOST BILL ON EXIT Pull out the Bill Dispenser tray. 17 Turn the green knob counter clockwise to send any jammed bill to the reject bin 18 Remove any jammed bills found on the Bill Dispenser Exit. Then go to step

45 Bill Dispenser Jamming Z-3 19 TEST DISPENSE Press the Dispense Options or the F1 Key 20 Press the Test Dispense Button or the F2 Key Write in the dialog box, which means "Dispense 1 bill from the first cassette, 1 bill from the second, and no bills from third and fourth cassette". Press OK 44

46 Bill Dispenser Jamming Z-3 22 If Test Dispense was successful you will find the dispensed bills in the Reject Bin. Check that you got one from each tray. 23 The report must show Operation Completed Successfully 24 Close the Bill Dispenser Tray and close the Z-3's back door 45
