14 Daily Inspections In order to ensure accurate results from this counter, please look out for the following phenomena as part of a daily inspection. 1. Inspect the coin box to see whether there are coins of other coin types mixed in with the others. 2. Inspect the counter display to see whether the total dollar amount and counted coin numbers match. The above phenomena are not a sign of malfunction. They are likely to be the result of counting errors due to warping, damaged coins, or dirt / grime in the coin passageway inside the counter. Please periodically clean the coin passageway. Cleaning Methods Cleaning the Main Body Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. If grime or dirt is severe, wet the cloth with water or mild detergent, wring out excess water, and wipe. Do not pour water or detergent directly on the machine as this may result in malfunction. Do not use solvents such as benzene or alcohol as they may cause warping, discoloration, or malfunction of the machine Cleaning the Coin Passageway Although the coin passageway is always kept clean with the auto rail cleaning function, there still may be grime which clings to the passageway. Please refer to page 14 for cleaning methods. Warning Always unplug the AC adapter from the outlet when cleaning as there is a danger of electric shock. Do not touch the hopper or counter parts with your fingers as this may result in injury. Do not use oil-based detergents on the coin passageway as this may lead to malfunction. When the machine is not in use, close the hopper cover and counter cover, and cover the machine with the included plastic dust cover. Do not allow small children to play with or wear the plastic dust cover. 13

15 How to Clean the Coin Passageway 1 Use the included brush to remove the dust from the rails, backrest, and hopper and rail seams. For grime that clings to the passageway, use a cotton swab lightly moistened with mild diluted detergent and rub off. 2 Always wipe the parts that were rubbed with the moist cotton swab again with a dry cotton swab. 3 When finished, check to ensure that there is no cotton residue from the cotton swabs. Always moisten the swab lightly so that it does not drip inside the machine. Always carefully wipe dry the parts that were rubbed with the moist cotton swab using a dry cotton swab.
