Dear fellow folders, with our 30th convention in May 2018 we started a year of celebrations for our society, which will have another highlight in 2019.

Since then the society has not only grown by number of members.

3 Dear fellow folders, with our 30th convention in May 2018 we started a year of celebrations for our society, which will have another highlight in years ago, on the 14th of January 1989, Origami Deutschland was founded as charitable organisation by Paulo Mulatinho and seven other origami enthusiasts. Since then the society has not only grown by number of members. No matter if they are folding for leisure or as an artist, the members of our society are spreading the joy of origami in countless activities and voluntary engagement as laid down in our constitution. These actions take place all over Germany and even beyond. Under this sign will also be our 31st International Origami Meeting from 8th to 10th of June 2019 in Bonn. We expect 4 guests of honor: Robin Scholz and Alexander Kurth from Germany, Viviane Berty from France and Makoto Yamaguchi from Japan. Be curious about a wide range of workshops, show your models in the origami exhibition and the folding competition, meet old acquaintances, get to know new folders, look around in the paper shops and fold a whole weekend to your heart's content. Registration Registration open until 5th March 2019 Convention registration is possible via Origami Deutschland only. This applies to folding as well as non folding participants. Maximum number of participants: 250 Please register online via our society's webpage. The forms for both participants staying at the conference hotel as well as daily participants are available at Please note that the online form was only sent successfully if the message "Thank you very much for your registration..." appears in a separate window after clicking the send button. Within the next few days you will receive a confirmation with payment information. If you haven't received this confirmation after 2 weeks, please send an to registration@papierfalten.de. If you're not able to register online you can request the registration forms by phone or mail. Informal registrations will not be accepted. Until 5th February 2019 these rooms will be reserved for families, married couples/partners and participants with disabilities. Participants who do not belong to this group and register for a double room will be put on a waiting list. Starting from 6th February 2019 the free double rooms will be assigned by receipt date of the registration. For overnight stays before and after the convention rooms are available from 5th June 2019 until 13th June Please book these overnight stays directly with Origami Deutschland otherwise it cannot be guaranteed that the same room will be available for you during the convention. Please book half/full board for additional days in advance, if desired. All rooms are equipped with shower, WC, hairdryer, telephone, radio alarm clock and flat screen TV, room safe, desk and free WiFi use. Please refer to the contact persons above for delivery address information. Models must arrive before 10th May Required information: model/title, author, folder number of used sheets of paper/ number of pieces, auxiliary materials. All submitted models will be presented publicly in Bonn. Participants of the convention will choose their favorites. The artists with the most votes will receive small prizes. Conditions of participation: 1. The folded model must be clearly related to the theme of Black and White". 2. You may only use paper for your entry. Auxiliary materials (glue, thread, etc.) are allowed. Information Workshops Exhibition Who wants to give a workshop? Please complete and submit the workshop form on our website ( until 10th May Please fill in the part of required papers so we may plan accordingly and order the necessary material in advance. Like each year there will be the opportunity to present models in an exhibition. Due to limited space we can offer every exhibitor a table space of 68 x 68 cm only. We thank you for your understanding and kindly ask to observe the limit in the interest of all exhibitors. Model collection Origami to go The deadline for diagrams is 20th April 2019 We will provide a table for origami models and origami paper you want to give away. Anyone who wants to add or choose a few items is welcome. We are happy to accept book donations for our OD library.
