1 RT T Rack Mount Test T Switch ALIATION RT switch assemblies for rack and switchboard mounting permit convenient isolation of switchboard relays, meters and instruments. RT racks allow quick and easy multi-circuit testing by conventional test methods. FT Switches mounted in the RT racks isolate protective relays, meters and equipment, allowing the user to safely service installed equipment without disturbing the system. Features The RT switch assemblies accommodate three FT switches mounted on a 1 wide by. steel mounting panel. Any combination of FT switches may be selected. Steel panels are painted black. onsult the factory for additional colors and heights. Each panel is supplied with the hardware to mount the RT assembly to a 1 rack enclosure. The assembly is equipped with a full-length clear cover over all FT switches. The cover allows the switch handles to be opened or closed when the cover is in place, which is especially important during maintenance and repair of equipment. This cover can be secured with a meter seal or padlock. Once secure, the cover also prohibits access to rack mounting screws. The RT assembly will support an FT style test paddle. Each RT assembly is supplied with a unique clear rear shield to help prevent inadvertant contact with live rear terminals.
