5 Xerius is a family business founded in 1999 by Mr. Perilhon. Originally radiofrequency office, Xerius team thinks, designs and creates all your products. Thanks to a technicality and recognized quality, Xerius quickly becomes a key company in this field of activity allows it to have loyal customers for 16 years. With nearly 140 products developed in the field of telecommunications, Xerius wants to leverage its technical expertise by developing its own geolocation product. In 2011, Xerius sets up the department "Xerius Tracking" for tracking animals. The activity begins in the Middle East with "Stratus II" dedicated to monitoring falcons. In 2012, development of the Goniometer "RXG-134" permits to update and /or download data in real time and give a new flight to Xerius. In 2013, developing its first Xerius ARGOS beacon and GPS. Today, Xerius complete its range with new products in response to the request of the scientific field. And that's just the beginning! We continuously invest in Research and Development. Xerius wants to contribute to understand and safeguard biodiversity for future generations. Animal tracking will help save endangered species and protect sources of animal welfare. 5

Through this Xerius moves to pioneer in the field of high satellite and radios technologies. Today we design monolithic boxes with solar panels mats, an ultra thin and flexible antenna. Our products are equipped with geolocation systems with an high accuracy. The technical team is working to develop equipment increasingly miniaturized at equal performance. 10 ARGOS & GPS PTT Alteos 18 Technological advances in recent years has allowed Xerius to develop a unique product: an animal tracking ARGOS & GPS PTT with integrated local link for only 18 grams. A jewel of technology, Alteos 18 is currently the only equipped with solar panels mats limiting predation tag. It is also equipped with a VHF local link for updating and downloading data from your tag. No need to capture anymore the animal for collecting or updating your tag! Alteos 18 should allow scientists to obtain reliable and usable data.

12 ARGOS & GPS PTT Alteos 20 In recent years solar panel manufacturers offer equipment with ever higher returns. Following requests from scientists, Xerius has developed a highly efficient solar panels for your PTT. The solar panels used on Alteos 20 enable a high level of productivity through absorption of much wider spectrum. Like its cousin Alteos 18, this high-performance tag has integrated VHF local link to a total weight of only 20 grams. Alteos 20 allows the scientist to collect data over a much longer period.

To be closer to their need to be independent, the Research and Development team has decided to tag each fully programmable by the user without going through the manufacturer. 19 Stratus II Track easily Xerius s experience in the development of military products, industrial and aerospace allows him to design highly technological products. Stratus II is mainly for tracking birds. His system has a level of sensitivity, range and high accuracy. Stratus II is equipped with GPS ( Global Positioning System) system for an accurate geolocation and a VHF link (Very High Frequencies ) to a local and direct communication. Stratus II was designed in partnership with demanding users, requiring precision used for other applications. A beautiful statement challenge! 19

22 BioLoc An pluritechnological product BioLoc project is developed in partnership with scientists and federations to meet their requirements in the field. We note that if there are diversified technology for the localization of migratory animals, there are none adapted to the instantaneous tracking of a sedentary animal population. BioLoc is a breakthrough product. It consists of miniature transmitters (birds tags) 10g with a GPS, autonomous and reusable. These tags are coupled with a receiver (centrale) completely autonomous thanks to solar panels. This unit allows to receive in real time all the tags without human mouvement. The centrale then sends the data directly on a GSM network. Bioloc combines technological innovation and use of innovation to offer a future supply that will improve the knowledge of animal behavior. BioLoc project provides scientific cutting edge technology in order to know and preserve biodiversity for future generations. It forms a protective approach to biodiversity and sustainable development.

It is in this technological context that Pio Tx is important. It provides an answer to Science. Pio Tx is smaller than a piece of 0.01 and weighs less than 0.5 grams. It is compatible with a Stratus II Rx and with the Goniometer providing an highest autonomy. Pio Tx is a jewel of technology developed in response to a global need. 27 Antennas The antenna YAGI 3 elements is compatible with Stratus II Rx and any type of VHF tag. The programmed frequency is 220MHz. Xerius developed a very clever and practical system to fold and unfold the antenna. His "gun" handle provides a good hold of the material. The whip antenna is compatible with Stratus II Rx. Its frequency is programmable depending on the tag used. Equipped with a magnetic base, the antenna can be used on the roof of a car to track birds. The antenna is provided with a coaxial cable. 27

28 Chargers The Stratus II Tx beacon is rechargeable through this block 3 elements. Recharging is fast via USB or a standard outlet. Xerius developed a battery charger designed specifically for Stratrus Tx II. It is ergonomic and robust. No longer risk to track without battery!
