Complete description of requested action: (Include, if applicable, background, impact, long-term commitment, existing county policy, future goals, obtained by competitive bid, accountability measures) The Motorola Smart Zone 4.1 radio system is required by FCC to be converted into narrow band capabilities. Motorola repeaters have been compared with Kenwood repeaters and it has been determined that there is a substantial cost difference. As such, Kenwood repeaters have been tested and proven to be reliable equipment. This equipment will make the Smart Zone 4.1 radio system narrow band compliant. This is required to be completed by January 1, Any information provided after the agenda is published or during the meeting of the Commissioners will require you to provide 20 copies: one for each Commissioner, one for the Clerk, one for the District Attorney, one for the Public and two for the County Manager. Except for a payment that is due on the Effective, Customer will make payments to Motorola within thirty (30) days after the date of each invoice. Customer will make payments when due in the form of a check, cashier s check, or wire transfer drawn on a U.S. financial institution and in accordance with the following milestones. A. 20% of the Contract Price due upon contract execution; B. 55% of the Contract Price due upon shipment of equipment; C. 15% of the Contract Price due upon installation of equipment; D. 10% of the Contract Price due upon Final Acceptance. Motorola reserves the right to make partial shipments of equipment and to request payment upon shipment of such equipment. In addition, Motorola reserves the right to invoice for installations or civil work completed on a site-by-site basis, when applicable.
