Dual rated specifications for cost reduction Two types of rated specifications, H specifications and P specifications, can be selected according to the load status, for a wider range of standard applicable motors and substantial cost reduction (200 V type STB Series). Industry's first software customize function Dedicated function can be realized by adding various types of software according to the customer's requirements. Users can also perform program changes and upgrades following purchase. Control algorithms for various types of applications provided as standard Control algorithms for diverse applications, such as winding control, multiple pump drive control and fixedtime inching, are provided as standard. This can be used as dedicated inverter to meet diversified system needs. Operability and communication functions developed with ease of use The RS232C interface allowing connection to personal computers and the RS485 interface effective operation management in a system are provided as standard. 5 Dual rated specifications selectable according to application The SAMCOvm05 Series comes in two types of rated specifications, H characteristic and P characteristic, that can be selected according to the application, be it generalpurpose industrial use or use for fans, pumps, etc. *Only for 200V class, below SBT22k/30k. Selection of the ratings is enabled by using the ratings selection function (cd060). H characteristic (cd060=1) Rated specification of 150%/min. load capacity. Suitable for constant torque loads in generalpurpose industrial applications. P characteristic (cd060=2) Rated specification of 120%/min. load capacity. Suitable for reduced torque loads such as in fans, and pumps. P characteristic applicable motors provides the rated current that can drive motors with a capacity one rank higher than H characteristic applicable motors. Selection Setting Example If the application is a 2.2 kw fan motor, a 1.5kW inverter with H characteristic is available by selecting to set P characteristic. * In the case of a load that can be handled with P characteristic, cost reduction can be achieved with the purchase of an inverter one rank lower than that normally required. SBT1.5K/2.2K H characteristic: 1.5 kw P characteristic: 2.2 kw 2.2kW motor Fan blower An inverter whose cost is that of a 1.5kW inverter (capacity one rank higher) can be used to drive a 2.2kW motor! Lineup Operation Panel Standard External Dimension Diagrams Connection Diagram Industry's First Software Customization Software customized to customer requirements is provided. This marks an industry first that enables switching from regular generalpurpose inverters to "customerspecific inverters." We provide software functions according to customer requirements, specification changes, etc., whenever needed. Various control algorithms designed for various applications are also provided as standard, for maximum flexibility. Using the FMTP dedicated transfer software, it is easy to add software through direct serial connection with a PC. A regular 10baseT cable is used to connect the panel and the main unit, so no dedicated cable is required. Expanded maintenance functions User default function In addition to the factorydefault function code settings, userspecified parameter settings can also be registered as secondary settings. Used during maintenance, etc., these settings can greatly improve work efficiency. Changed data display function When the settings have been modified, it is possible to search just the changed parameters. Serial communication function Serial communication interfaces (RS232C, RS485) are provided as standard. The inverter can be directly connected to a PC using the RS232C interface. The RS485 interface allows efficient system operation such as centralized control of inverters through connection of a programmable controller, etc. Neither dedicated cables nor dedicated adapters are required for any of the s. 5

7 Control algorithms for various applications provided as standard Winding control Sanken's original tension control algorithms are based on the winding patterns controlling winders, feeders, rewinders, and support a wide range of line speeds. No controller for dancer control such as found in conventional systems is required. Winding control algorithms Winding speed prediction pattern operation is the basic algorithm. Tension control with superior stability, including during intermediate stops and restarts, is achieved by adding dancer position correction control. Winding speed prediction pattern Automatic calculation of winding start frequency, end frequency, and winding duration as output frequency prediction pattern based on winding amount (increase) phenomenon just by inputting settings Up to 4 patterns can be set in advance for easier setup during pattern settings, and can be selected with an external signal. Settings as output frequency prediction patterns based on the winding amount (decrease) phenomenon can also be performed, for use for rewinder attending lines and printer paper feed control. Monitor function The winding elapsed time can be monitor displayed on the operation panel. The winding elapsed time is saved during intermediate stops of the inverter and stops caused by alarm protection. 8 Multiple pump drive control (constant pressure feedwater system control) By providing an SWS board (option), a constant pressure feedwater system that uses multiple pumps, such as feedwater pump pressure control and multiple pump rotation operation and parallel operation, can easily be configured. A periodic switching function designed to extend pump life and a pump selection function for which maintenance ease has been dramatically improved with a control are also provided. Up to 4 pumps can be controlled according to the water supply status with just one inverter. Selection of pump operation switching according to the pressure fluctuations status or at periodic intervals is possible. Settings and status display in pressure units are possible. 9 This function allows operation for the set time, regardless of the inching signal input time. Operation that equals or exceeds the minimum time is secured regardless of the operation signal ON width. This function is effective as a simple home position hold function for improving the position accuracy for roundedweaving machines. The minimum ON width is secured even if the operation command width is uneven. Combined with JOG operation, this function is ideal for fine operation when yarn of roundedweaving machines is cut off. 10 Higher performance through PG feedback control Operation is enabled through a speed control function that detects the motor's rotating speed using a detector (PG), and a position control function. Environmental measures Reliability is further improved through the use of a totally enclosedtype IP20 structure and a moistureproofed board. Moreover, harmful harmonic can be suppressed by connecting a DC reactor (option). 12 Operation panel Operation panel operation method settings are performed in the setting code display mode. Switching between the status display mode and the function code display mode is done with the PROG key. (Flashing or lit display) PROG code display mode Numeric keys 8 Directly input function code numbers using the numeric keys. ENTER Data is read for the input function code number and the numeric data input wait status is then entered. Numeric keys 1 5 ENTER Input the value to be set using the numeric keys. The display digit moves to the left at every input. The input value is recorded as a newly set value and the function code display mode is returned to. (In the case of some function codes, reinput of the input value may be requested for verification purposes, in order to prevent data overwrite due to malfunction.) PROG The status display mode is returned to. (Flashing or lit display) To perform value input again, press the CLEAR/DISP key to return to the display prior to input. To stop function code data input, press the CLEAR/DISP key to return to the Code Display mode. (To stop input after having changed a value, press the CLEAR/DISP key twice without pressing the ENTER key. This will cause the mode to change back to the Code Display mode.) Display mode In the status display mode, frequency, output current, speed of rotation, load factor, output voltage, pressure value, and no unit display are cycled through by pressing the CLEAR/DISP key.
