1 INSPECTION Y01 1. COOLER THERMISTOR NO.1 (a) Inspect cooler thermistor No.1 continuity. (1) Measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of the cooler thermistor No. 1 at each temperature, as shown in the chart. 2 THERMISTOR ASSY (a) Inspect thermistor assy continuity. (1) Measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of thermistor assy according to the value(s) in the table below. Condition Specified condition Approx.: 30 C (86 F) 80 to 100 kω I37368 Approx.: 25 C (77 F) 4.8 to 5.2 kω Approx.: 40 C (104 F) to kω Approx.: 100 C (212 F) 0.3 to 0.37 kω If the value is not as specified, replace the thermistor assy. 3. CENTER CLUSTER MODULE SWITCH (a) Inspect blower switch continuity. Condition / Circuit Tester connection Specified condition OFF kω or higher LO 1 2 Below 1 Ω OFF LO M1 M2 LO M Below 1 Ω M Below 1 Ω M1 M Below 1 Ω HI M Below 1 Ω M2 HI Below 1 Ω HI Below 1 Ω I37371 If the value is not as specified, replace the center cluster module switch. (b) Inspect illumination operation. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 4 and negative () lead to terminal 5, then check that the illuminations come on. If there is any bulb which does not come on, replace the bulb. 1478

3 5513 (c) Inspect switch continuity. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Switch operation Tester connection Specified condition ON 3 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω OFF 3 1 and 2 10 kω or higher If continuity is not as specified, replace the cooler switch. (d) Inspect indicator operation. (1) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3 and the negative () lead to terminal 1. (2) Push the A/C button in and then check that the indicator comes on. If operation is not as specified, replace the cooler switch. E62517 E BLOWER RESISTOR (a) Inspect blower resistor continuity. Tester connection Specified condition to Ω to Ω to Ω If the value is not as specified, replace the blower resistor BLOWER W/FAN MOTOR SUBASSY (a) Inspect blower w/fan motor subassy. (1) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and negative () lead to terminal 1, then check that the motor operates smoothly. If operation is not as specified, replace the blower motor. I

(1) Using a service wire, connect connector A1 and connector A2 between the MAX hot switch and cooler wiring No.2. (2) Check that the continuity exists between terminals.
