3 We Create Ideas With Power! e 2 TANGO-50 short-circuit detector is a product of ELEKTROMETAL ENERGETYKA SA developed by our engineers with extensive know-how and many years of experience in the industry. Employed solutions and concepts answer challenges which our customer face in their day-to-day operations. These challenges were our key inspiration during design work. We have developed a compact device, functionally optimised and easy to use, designed mainly for use in compensation cabinets and other locations with limited space. Miniature e 2 TANGO-50 is designed to detect phase short-circuits and ground faults in three-phase MV grids. Like all other our products the device can be used in Smart GRIDS. We fully realize the importance of safety in power engineering, this is why this was one of the key aspects we focused on. High quality and reliability of all our products, including e 2 TANGO-50, is confirmed with tests and certifications. e 2 TANGO-50 is a miniature device ideal for locations where use of large protection relays is not possible. APPLICATION Small and compact e 2 TANGO-50 may be used as an stand-alone device in indoor and outdoor switchgears, container stations and wiring compartments.

4 APPLICATION Small and compact e 2 TANGO-50 may be used as an stand-alone device in indoor and outdoor switchgears, container stations and wiring compartments. The device may also be used to provide complementary protection functionality to PLC controllers in small MV switchgears (such as modular switchgears, compact distribution blocks). The device may be used in harsh atmospheric conditions. e 2 TANGO-50 may interoperate with PLCs using MODBUS protocol or operate as a stand-alone device - short-circuit is indicated via relay contact. Fault indication has to be reset manually using a button. Phase current may be measured using Rogowski coils (e 2 TANGO-50 RC) with 1mV/A sensitivity, alternatively phase current may be measured using current transformers (e 2 TANGO-50 CT). Depending on version the I0 current may be measured or calculated. The device may be adapted for operation with a totalizer calculating U0 voltage based on phase voltages. It is also possible to measure U1, U2, U3 phase voltages using voltage transformers with a standard input voltage of 2/ V 3 or 3.25/ V 3 (e 2 TANGO-50 RCU). 5
