3 Related Projects - The Internet Underwater (Sep Present) An IP-compatible Protocol Stack for Commercial Undersea Modems. - Underwater Acoustic Channel Modeling (Feb Sep. 2010) Meteksan Defence Industry Inc., Ankara, Turkey Modeling and Simulation studies for various underwater acoustic systems. The project was presented in 3rd Naval Systems Seminar, Ankara, Turkey. - Underwater Telephone (Sep Dec. 2009) Designed and built the digital design part of an underwater telephone, which consists of SSB-SC modulation, switches, digital-to-analog, and analog-to-digital converters on PCBs and FPGA boards. The project was presented in SAVTEK(5th Defence Technologies Conference) 2010, Ankara, Turkey. - BlueBee (Dec Jun. 2009) Implemented a JAVA mesh networking application using Bluetooth (piconet) for students and instructors to improve feedback in classes including instant tests related to the subject, keeping attendance. - Undergraduate Senior Project II (Dec Jun. 2009) Noise enhanced detection under supervision of Prof. Sinan Gezici. In this project, effects of stochastic resonance on signal detection were investigated. The phenomenon that noise can improve the bit error rate (BER) performance of detectors was proved. Various detectors were studied and optimal noise components were obtained via MATLAB simulations. - Undergraduate Senior Project I (Sep Dec. 2008) Implementation of DVB-S2 (High Definition Satellite Receiver System) in MATLAB environment under supervision of Prof. Erdal Arikan. DVB-S2 is a new generation to replace old standards in digital video broadcasting.
