FEMTO LDV Z8 IMAGE-GUIDED SURGERY ENHANCE YOUR SURGICAL PLANNING
FEMTO LDV Z8 OCT applications OCT APPLICATION: CATARACT Enhanced planning and customized individual treatments High resolution OCT images of the lens and cornea help you to fine-tune the resection geometries before a treatment. Other features of our proprietary OCT-System include: Automatic edge detection (pupil, limbus, cornea, lens, iris) Automated suggestions for the placement of the resection geometries based on the individual surgeon s preferences All trajectories can be customized by the surgeon after docking «Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.» Albert Einstein OCT image used in incision planning The high-resolution OCT image reveals subtle structures such as cortical cataracts The automatically placed trajectories can be customized after docking.
OCT APPLICATION: CORNEA See what was previously hidden Our OCT enables enhanced surgical planning and customization after docking. Visualization of Bowman s membrane for Sub-Bowman LASIK flap. Check the applanation via imaging Visualization of subtle structures like the epithelium and the Bowman s membrane Previous LASIK-flaps and other abnormalities like corneal scaring can be seen and the treatment adjusted accordingly An OCT scan of the donor tissue allows for enhanced surgical planning and customization «Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others.» Jonathan Swift
LIVE TOP VIEW IMAGE A picture is worth a thousand words. Proverb High definition images for tailor-made surgery The integrated high definition camera enables better visual control and simplified docking. Benefits include: Detailed high quality color image (24 bit) Optics optimized for cornea and lens applications Automatic detection of pupil and limbus Live top view image between the different steps of the cataract pre-treatment The automatic detection of pupil and limbus is robust against color markings The combination of OCT and top view images allows you the best possible planning and customization The top view image allows visualization of intraoperative events such as miosis
FEMTO LDV Z8 OCT applications I SPY WITH MY LITTLE EYE OCT advantages at a glance High definition images of the lens and the cornea Surgical planning assisted by OCT imaging Clear visualization of previous resections (e. g. LASIK-flaps or keratoplasties) and scars Increased planning options for thin resections of 80 microns and smaller Surgical planning is done in confidence with OCT and top view visualization «It s not what you look at that matters, it s what you see.» Henry David Thoreau The proprietary Ziemer OCT-system The Ziemer OCT system is designed and manufactured by Ziemer and highly specialized for corneal and lens applications. OCT-type: Wavelength: Scanning depth: Edge recognition: Spectral domain 880 nanometer 10 millimeter Automatic To have a proprietary OCT system brings many benefits. It is specifically built for the FEMTO LDV Z8. The system is open for innovative solutions and continuous improvements. The OCT system is directly integrated into the FEMTO LDV Z8 s hardware.
