First-Class Optical Technologies for High Image Quality with Exceptional Sharpness The EF 16-35mm f/4l IS USM ultra-wide angle zoom lens features a newly developed 16 elements in 12 groups optical design, with an extensive use of specialized lens elements including 3 Glass-Molded (GMo) aspherical elements and 2 Ultra-low Dispersion (UD) lenses to optimize image quality for wide angle lens from multiple aspects, which include: improving peripheral image quality, correcting various types of lens aberrations such as distortion, curvature of field and astigmatism, and reducing chromatic aberration of magnification and color blur throughout the entire zoom range.
