3 The company s history S.T.A.M.P.S. is an invention of Peter Gschwind, former Swatch promotion manager, and Andreas Schweneker, former Citizen Europe brand manager. The watch has been developed technically by Elmar Mock, co-inventor of Swatch. In 1997 the brand S.T.A.M.P.S. was established in Hamburg (Germany). The same year Timehouse GmbH became one of the ten best start-up companies in the nationwide founder contest Start Up in Germany organized by McKinsey, the bank Sparkasse and the magazine Stern. In 2001 Timehouse GmbH won the renowned red dot award for the designs Typo and Signale. Furthermore, the design 70er was chosen for the design forum by Messe Frankfurt, trade fair. The same year the subsidiary company Timehouse Czech s.r.o. was founded and production was transferred from Berlin to Czech Republic. In Germany and Czech Republic Timehouse engages in total about 21 employees. Today S.T.A.M.P.S. are available in more than shops worldwide. S.T.A.M.P.S. is sold mainly by fashion stores, trendy gift and museums shops. The average retail price is about

5 A unique advertising medium Looking at the clock means looking at S.T.A.M.P.S. How many times are we looking at the clock in average? About five times per hour. That means, times contact with your advertisement per year. Consequently, the time a battery lasts contacts are made per watch. Fonts Fonts used in the layout have to be converted into vector graphics. 31mm 42,26mm 4. Colours Colours are printed only in 4C/Euroscale. Pantone colours, HKS, and full-tone should not be used in the file. 38mm 35mm 5. Data transfer The client is asked to assure that all required images and fonts are sent correctly. Possible data processing medium: CD / CDR / DVD Data up to 10MB can be sent by to marketing@stamps.eu. Informations about the layout have to be sent in a Simpletext file, Word file or Acrobat PDF file. 6. Bleed A bleed of 3mm has to be applied to the strip of four. Images which are imported have to have, as well, a bleed of 3mm on all four sides. 11

14 Technical requirements 7. specifications The S.T.A.M.P.S. logo should appear on every S.T.A.M.P.S. watch. Its colours, however, can be substituted in order to suit the design in question. Designing the watch and placing the logo the following has to be considered: The sticking up needle shaft in the centre of the watch An allowance for the groove in which the glass is placed has to be made of 35mm inner diameter and 38mm outer diameter The four sided perforation 8. Fair drawing If possible the layout files should to be created on different levels: Watch glass Hands (indicating the colours for hour hand, minute hand and second hand) Perforation Time index S.T.A.M.P.S. logo Image / the actual design 9. support A frame template including the required levels is available to fit in the personalised design. 10. time Index The time index is optional. The client is free to chose any index design he or she wishes to use. Dimensions (length / width) have to be considered while designing the time index: Hour hand: 7,5 mm x 1 mm Minute hand: 11 mm x 1 mm Second hand: 11 mm x 0,5 mm The time index should have at least 2mm distance to the groove in which the glass is placed. 12
