22 Archipelago / Publication / O Book Publisher, 2014 / Related Text Archipelago Archipelago is a large format print of unlimited dimensions and its publication as a limited edition, oneimage publication. The image Archipelago was conceived in the context of Arno Brandlhuber s exhibition Im Archipel at KOW gallery, Berlin in It is a depiction of a fungus that developed in the drywalls of the exhibition space after the intentional flooding of the premises by Brandlhuber, as part of his spatial intervention. The image of Archipelago is inherently connected to the concept of archipelagic thought, and the idea of the urban environment as a fragmented and open system of independent, interdependent urban occurrences, continuously oscillating between form and process. 31 Barranca Project 1/9 de Related Huentitán Text / Guadalajara / Mexico, 2016 / 1/9 Related / Text Barranca de Huentitán Since 2009 Herzog de Meuron have been working on a museum in the outskirts of the city Guadalajara, the second largest city of Mexico in the State of Jalisco. The Barranca Museum is situated at the edge of a canyon, some 600 meters deep, with a breathtaking view on to the infinite expanses of the rugged and rocky landscape of the Huentitán Canyon. Yet, notwithstanding the extraordinary situation and the utopian promise of the project, after the fundaments where laid, a shift in political interests caused that building activitity was stopped and postponed until further notice. In a sociopolitical climate where projects are often aborted as political administrations change, public agendas shift or budgets run out, building sites abandoned in mid construction are a familiar sight. The rebars sticking out at the top of an unfinished building, building structures in all states of development, develop an entropic beauty of their own. Linking and reversing past, present and future spatial narratives, nothing is fixed, accomplished or definite. Everything becomes possible, everything is equally important. The project exist and persist as a site of pure projection, potential and possibility. A new set of spatial parameters and experience is developed through mere perception and narration.

Basically two towers on a concrete slab, they are the remnants of a dismantled graphite processing plant, these towers are being transformed for future habitation. Meanwhile the surroundings, a semi public former industrial area, are now being shaped and reshaped by the subtle changes of every the day use of an anonymous set of users, located in the adjacent plots and ambiguous neighbouring facilities.
