1 Instruments» Spectrophotometers Product: CO 8000 Biowave Personal Cell Density Meter Model: 1232G34 Measures at 600 nm Stores up to 99 results Easy to use, clean and sterilize The CO 8000 cell density meter is a small, portable and easy to use instrument for measuring the density of E.coli and yeast cells in suspension at 600 nm. The unit is especially useful in smaller labs where cultures may be grown in 200 ml to 5 L conical flasks as you can take it to where cells are grown or used in incubation cabinets or under anaerobic conditions. A 600 nm LED source in combination with fiber optics is used to obtain the optical density measurement. Up to 99 results may be stored for subsequent recall, printing or downloading. The unit accepts either 10 mm pathlength cuvettes or tubes allowing it to be used with Erlenmyer side arm flasks.
