Ultrasonic devices measure with sound waves, which propagate in a cone from the instrument and display inaccurate results. The sound waves are deflected by objects or columns. 17 ROTATING LASERS ISO :2012 specifies the in-situ methods to determine and evaluate the precision (reproducibility) of rotary laser levels and their complementary equipment when using them for on constructions sites and other measuring applications. In-situ tests are to verify whether a certain device is suitable for the following application and if it meets the requirements of other standards. ISO :2012 distinguishes between various precision and test targets, such as reproducibility (reproducibility on different days) and thoroughly evaluates all possible sources of defects. Regarding the increasing number of applications, which demand this internationally recognized ISO certificate, Würth provides a calibration system, with which you can test, calibrate and certify your laser in compliance with the ISO standard. IP67 protection class what is this? The protection class defines the ingress of water or foreign particles (dust). The first digit stands for the protection against the penetration of foreign particles. In this case, number 6 means that the device is dust-proof. The second digit, in this case 7, indicates the protection against water penetration. Immersing a device in water for a limited period of time is thus possible without damaging it. Equipment with the protection class IP67 is therefore dust-proof and repels water for a certain period of time when immersed in water. Rain is thus no problem for the Würth rotary laser level. ISO
