17 Scatter Correction for CXDI Series

18 1. Overview Scatter Correction is a new function on image processing supported by Control Software NE V2.14 or later. This is an image processing function which can improve image contrast by subtracting the estimated scatter noise from original image. Original Image (without grid) ー 18 Canon s Scatter Correction improves contrast of images taken without antiscatter grid. 22 1. Overview Scatter Correction can be applied to Chest/AP only in NE V2.14. In case customers select other body part except for Chest/AP, parameter of Scatter Correction does not appear. Scatter Correction in NE V can be applied for all body parts. Plan is to release this version around March /06/2016

Specification Overview Setting parameter for Scatter Correction is available (See image sample) 10 levels are selectable based on amount of enhancement effect Requirements License for Scatter Correction SC can be used with 125 µmfpd 23 Grid Suppression is disabled It can be set for Chest AP protocol only with Control Software NE V2.14.
