4 ITALRAY DR solutions Filmless operation is the future of radiology and ITALRAY DR SOLUTIONS (Digital Radiography) are the cornerstone of a networked department where high quality X-ray images are available within seconds from exposure, transferred at the touch of a button, and retrieved wherever physicians need them, be it a review workstation, the radiologist s office, or practically anywhere in the hospital where a network connection is available. With ITALRAY DR SOLUTIONS departmental workflow and efficiency are greatly improved, thus generating significant savings and a higher level of patient care. Freed from old-times burdens like developing films, carrying cassettes around, and image retakes, technologists and nurses now have more time to dedicate to what is most important: patients! 5 VERSATILITY AND EFFICIENCY: in other words ITALRAY TIETON The TIETON multifunctional stand is the result of the combination between ITALRAY's 30+ years of experience in medical imaging and the evolution of X-ray technology. TIETON has been conceived to be the ideal support for solid state DR X-ray detectors. Moreover, thanks to the multiple automatic motorized functionalities, all traditional exams can be performed with TIETON, from the standard stand-up chest to the trauma patient on a gurney. This means that only one DR detector is necessary for all exams, thus allowing for significant savings for the customer. TIETON is a perfect solution for both standard and emergency X-ray rooms. The DR detector support structure developed by ITALRAY for TIETON tilts between +90 and -20 with respect to the normal vertical position. This totally motorized movement is controlled via specific ergonomic controls on both sides of the stand and the detector inclination is shown in real-time by two symmetric displays next to the controls. Moreover, when horizontal (+90 ) to image patients on a gurney or a table, the detector also rotates automatically by 90. Therefore, thanks to this rotation (a patented TIETON innovation), the grid is properly oriented for oblique projections and the ionization chamber is correctly positioned.

6 VERSATILITY AND EFFICIENCY: in other words ITALRAY TIETON TIETON is characterized by a wide column to detector center distance that makes it possible to image all anatomical districts of patients on gurneys (e.g. right and left shoulders) without the need for any risky patient movement but just by briefly translating the gurney/table over the detector. Combined with the automatic horizontal/vertical, X-ray tube/detector synchronized servo-movements and the automatic collimator light, these features make the TIETON particularly suitable for emergency applications where no time can be wasted and patient accessibility from any side is paramount. Standard stand-up operation is also extremely efficient thanks to the automatic motorized X-ray tube/detector centering which vastly improves the system throughput and minimizes patient time in the X-ray room. Walk in, image, walk out, all in a few minutes and with no waste of time: that s what good patient care is also made of! And with its minimal footprint, TIETON will fit in even the smallest X-ray rooms. With all these advanced features, investment protection has not been forgotten: if you have a TIETON in bucky version, the upgrade to DR is easy and seamless. 7 ITALRAY X FRAME DR: unsurpassed image quality ITALRAY DR SOLUTIONS: enhance workflow, boost productivity, improve patient care ITALRAY X-FRAME DR is an integrated DR acquisition system developed to perfefctly fit into the ITALRAY DR SOLUTIONS family of products. ITALRAY X FRAME DR is based on the Trixell Pixium 4600 solid state detector, featuring amorphous Silicon (a-si) technology and a Cesium Iodide (CsI) scintillator: a combination that is the de facto standard in medical imaging and guarantees an extremely high DQE. Images are acquired with a pixel size of 143µm thus producing brilliant images with an extremely sharp resolution matrix of 3001x3001 pixels. Also, thanks to the 14 bits grayscale acquisition depth and the very-low-noise electronics, an incredible grayscale dynamic range is guaranteed, and even the most subtle details and the most diverse structures can be effectively identified in only one image, with image retakes practically eliminated. The Cesium Iodide (CsI) scintillator provides a very efficient X-ray absorption, which guarantees reduced patient dose, while its fiber-optic-like structure provides diffusion-free high quality images. And, last not least, the 100kHz ITALRAY PIXEL HF X-ray generator guarantees high quality X-ray production because, after all, image quality does start with a good X-ray source. With a 43cm x 43cm detector, the largest size available on the market today, any anatomical district can be imaged, even in presence of tall/corpulent patients. And unike other DR products, ITALRAY X FRAME DR does not have any special temperature/humidity requirement, and any standard modern hospital room will be suitable for installation. Thanks to the X FRAME DR seamless RIS integration (Radiology Information System) the operator has all the necessary exam information (name, exam type, accession number, etc.) even before the patient walks in, and no time is wasted for data entering procedures, with all data-entering-related problems and errors virtually eliminated. When the patient enters the exam room the entire system is already prepared to go, with all exam-specific X-ray parameters correctly predisposed on the directly interfaced ITALRAY PIXEL HF generator, and acquisition parameters, curves, and pre-processing algorithms appropriately set on the acquisition workstation. Adequate collimation is automatically set too thanks to the motorized collimator and electronic collimation makes sure that only the significant portion of the image will be displayed. The operator can choose to work with the Automatic Exposure Control system or in manual technique, and this choice can be associated with each existing imaging protocol or incorporated into a newly created one. Collectively, all these smart automatic configuration and setup processes make sure that most images show the desired clinical content immediately and require no time consuming post-processing. Few seconds after exposure, the image is already available for quality control purposes and once the imaging session is completed, the entire study can be automatically sent to a PACS, a review workstation, or a DICOM printer; a large number of studies can also be maintained locally for temporary storage. And, most importantly, the intuitive Graphical User Interface makes the entire process smooth and easy. Needless to say, the X FRAME DR DICOM layer has been thoroughly tested and will seamlessly interface with any DICOM environment.
