2 Introducing an Evolutionary ineup of Advanced Installation Models Vivid iage and color reproduction for truly unforgettable presentations High picture quality, functionality and reliability The new Series of installationodel projectors fro Mitsubishi Electric utilize advanced color reproduction technologies to create iages that ensure axiu ipact fro your presentations. Aiing to reproduce truetolife iages, exhaustive easures have been taken to achieve precise color reproduction in addition to high brightness and high contrast. Projectors are easy to install and require inial aintenance, further contributing to the superior reliability synonyous with the Mitsubishi Electric nae. The new lineup offers a choice of five odels fro standard to highresolution, all of which are sure to transfor your presentations into unforgettable experiences. UDU UDU WDU XDU XDU UDU(B) UDU(B) WDU(B) XDU(B) High Quality Vivid Color l* Brightness and : High Contrast Features including ipressive l brightness and a high contrast of : allow the XDU to reproduce clear, sharp iages regardless of venue size, be it a large eeting roo or lecture hall. Whether coing fro a coputer, videocassette player or other source, the reproduction of vivid iages full of color is guaranteed. *Maxiu brightness of UDU, UDU is luens. WDU is luens. XDU is luens. Optional Color Wheel with High Color Brightness In addition to the standard red (R)/green (G)/blue (B)/white (W) foursegent color wheel, an optional threesegent (R/G/B) color wheel is available. Copared to the standard color wheel, it reproduces each priary color (R/G/B) with high brightness and in vivid, deep tones, aking it possible to project visuals rich with color. *White brightness is reduced when the optional color wheel is used. *XDU cannot be equipped with the optional color wheel. Contrast : Contrast : Super Resolution These projectors are equipped with Mitsubishi Electric s industryleading, advanced iageprocessing algorith, which is also used in our televisions and displays. The technology analyzes blurred coponents in the original iages, estiates highresolution data not provided in the original signal and corrects the iage quality. The result is the projection of sharp, vivid iages such as people's faces in fine detail. owresolution iage Enlargeent Enlarged iage (original) Estiation of resolution copensation data High resolution data that does not exist in the enlarged iage is estiated by Mitsubishi s proprietary iage processing algorith. Copensation processed by Super Resolution New Natural Color Matrix This color balancing function enables ore precise control by allowing each color to be adjusted independently. Conventional R/G/B/cyan (C)/agenta (M)/ yellow (Y) sixaxis color gradation correction has been refined to include interediate colors, resulting in axis* correction. *Autoatic projectorbased correction in conjunction with conventional R/G/B/C/M/Y sixaxis anual correction and interediatecolor sixaxis anual correction. Dynaic Contrast Correction The series analyzes the iage signal, detects the screen brightness distribution of each scene and then autoatically corrects the signal in realtie to enhance contrast. This suppresses the loss of shadow details in dark scenes and highlight details in bright scenes, producing clear, dynaic iages. without Dynaic Contrast Correction with Dynaic Contrast Correction The trees in the iddle of the screen have a sharply defined outline, producing a distinct sense of depth. Standard color wheel Optional color wheel Standard color wheel Optional color wheel High Reliability The dual lap syste and lap relay function enable continuous operation with no risk of the iage going out. Dust resistance and cooling perforance are greatly enhanced by the autoated selfcleaning filter and heatpipe cooling syste technologies that have proven so successful in air conditioners, enabling extended continuous use for onitoring and digital signage applications. Autoatic cleaning filter Dual lap and lap relay function hours a day, days a week Anxietyfree continuous operation Heatpipe cooling syste Various ap Relay Options Continuous, bright projection is ensured through the utilization of a duallap light source and a variety of setting options. When two laps are in use, one of the laps can be rested (turned off) once a day or week. Additionally, if only one lap is being used and it goes out, an autoatic backup function activates the other lap, enabling nonstop projection. H/H ode Day ap ap H/W ode Day ap ap turn off (an hour) turn off (an hour) Autoatic Cleaning Filter For the Series, we've utilized the sae echanis (esh filter and cleaning brush) that has a proven track record in Mitsubishi Electric air conditioners and air purifiers is utilized. It autoatically prevents dust fro building up in the radiator of the heatpipe cooling unit for the digital icroirror device (DMD), thereby ensuring troublefree use for extended periods of tie. *XDU is fixed cleaning filter. Heatpipe Cooling Syste Copared to liquidbased cooling systes, this heatpipe cooling syste has a siplified structure and does not require a power supply, enabling a ore copact design and cost reductions. Not only is it highly reliable, other benefits include exceptional energy savings, quiet operation and eliination of concerns regarding liquid leaking. *Configuration ay differ fro the actual product.
3 Installation Flexibility Others Ecology Geoetric Corrections Multiscreen Solutions User Friendly Keystone Correction Trapezoidal distortion caused when the projector is not positioned directly in front of the screen is corrected in both vertical and horizontal directions. Cornerstone Correction Pixel conversion is used to correct trapezoidal and diagonal distortion that causes oblique iages, ensuring the proper aspect ratio. screen Edge Blending Edge blending creates a sealess iage by adjusting the brightness at adjoining edges when using ultiple projectors sidebyside to reproduce single widescreen iages. This feature can also be utilized for topbotto projection or a cobination of sidebyside and topbotto iages; for exaple, when iages are projected fro four projectors in a twobytwo arrangeent. Edge blending function overlap apparent ong hrs* ap ife Designed with a lap teperature controlling syste, the series can support an estiated lap rating of up to hours. The long estiated lap life akes draatic reductions in overall cost of ownership by decreasing the frequency of lap replaceents. *When used in low ode. ap ife Coparison Ultra Quiet db Operation Fan noise during projector operation can be distracting during a presentation or videoconference. The series projectors operate at a significantly low noise level of only db (i.e., using a dual lap in low lap ode). As a result, presentations and conferences can be held without distracting projector noise in the background. Exaples of Noise evels db : Rustling leaves, the ticking of a wall clock (fro in front) db : A whisper, a suburban area very late at night db Curvedsurface Projection Correction Projectors in the series are equipped with a distortion correction function that can be used when projecting iages onto curved surfaces. Coordinates at the iage s four corners are adjusted, enabling the projection angle to be adjusted at the tie of angled or stacked projection. It is extreely handy for unique applications like projecting iages onto special surfaces such as pillars at event sites. Projection Capability s can be projected over a full range along the vertical axis* including reproduction on the ceiling or floor. The application possibilities are liitless. *Excluding use in highaltitude ode. Ultrashortthrow Optional ens (OXDEZ) Optional enses ineup With edge blending Multiple projectors sidebyside Without edge blending Color Matching The use of ultiple projectors to create a larger iage can result in color variations due to slight differences in projector iage processing. The series projectors are equipped with a color atching function that resolves this proble. Each projector is adjusted so that the sae colors are reproduced when ultiple projectors Color atching function are used siultaneously. Power Zoo/Focus and ens Shift The zoo/focus and lens shift adjustent are powered by an electric otor, ensuring easy operation. The newly introduced OXDEZ lens enables a projection distance as short as.~..* arge iages with high picture quality can be enjoyed even in sall roos where it s not possible to secure a standard projection distance. *For a projection screen (XDU/XDU only).
