Since different countries measure in different ways, you may have to check your yarn size. The pattern is listed according to the image: 1) BODY Rnd 4: *sc in next 2 st, inc* x6 (24) Rnd 5-6: sc in each st (24) Rnd 7: *sc in the next 3 st, inc* x6 (30) Rnd 8: sc in each st (30) Rnd 9: *sc in the next 4 st, inc* x6 (36) Rnd 10: *sc in the next 5 st, inc* x6 (42) Rnd 11: *sc in the next 6 st, inc* x6 (48) Rnd 12-18: sc in each st (48) Rnd 19: *sc in the next 6 st, dec* x6 (42) Rnd 20: *sc in the next 5 st, dec* x6 (36) Rnd 21: *sc in the next 4 st, dec* x6 (30) Rnd 22: *sc in the next 3 st, dec* x6 (24) Rnd 23: *sc in the next 2 st, dec* x6 (18) Rnd 24: *sc in the next st, dec* x6 (12) Rnd 25: dec x6 (6) Finish off. This part can be a little tricky. We have to insert the safety eyes, approximately between the rounds 5 and 6. Mark the holes where the eyes will be (with about 3 stitches between them) but don t put them yet. First, connect the two holes with a line of a black yarn. After that, put the safety eyes. Rnd 8: *sc in the next st, dec* x6 (12) Stuff the head. Rnd 9: dec x6 (6) 5) FINGERS Start leaving a long tail. *Ch 4 and then sl st on the 1st chain* x3 + Ch 2 and then repeat the * *. Leave a long tail to sew it later. Check image #2 to see what you've got. For a better understanding here's further explanation: chain 4 and then do a slip stitch on the first chain of this four stitches you just made. Chain 4 more stitches and now it s time to do the another slip stitch, but don t do it on the first stitch of this chain instead, do it in the first stitch of the new 4 stitches you just made. You have to do it a total of 3 times because your Big Hero have 3 fingers and a thumb. Since we have to take a space to do the opposite finger (thumb), chain 2. Now you do that sequence one more time: chain 4 and then do a slip stitch on the first stitch of these four. Leave a long tail to sew it later to the hands. DETAILS: - Now that you have all the pieces, let s put them together! Remember that, to attach all the parts to the body, we are going to use the tapestry needle. All the tails must be hidden inside the body. My tip for placing the pieces always in a precise way: use pins to attach the pieces to the doll's body, so you will know exactly where to use the needle when sewing (don t forget to remove the pins after that!). - Start by joining the legs to the body. - Do the same with the head and then the arms. - Sew the fingers to the arms. - Cut a little circle of white felt and attach in his heart using the fabric glue. Now you have a new big hero to save you :) 4
