GETTING STARTED Once the installation of this software is complete all the new trees and vegetation will be ready to use in FSX and Prepar3D depending upon which version you decided to install. Please keep in mind that the quality of the trees heavily depends on your Display Settings. The higher you can set the Global Texture Resolution slider the better (as shown in below):

2 Even if you install the trees in High Definition, they will not look as good if you have your Global Texture Resolution set to a low setting. This is how the HD trees look like with the different display settings:

3 As you can see, the simulator automatically adjusts the resolution of the trees depending on your Global Texture Resolution setting in order to adjust performance accordingly. It s up to you to decide which setting gives you the best balance between graphics and performance.

4 The number of trees you see on screen will depend on your Autogen Density settings: This is how the trees look like with the different Autogen Density settings:

6 It s also up to you to decide which setting is best for you. Keep in mind that performance will drop as you increase the Autogen Density slider. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Will this product affect frame rates? Our product was designed to work for everyone which is why we gave the option to install the trees in standard and high definition. The standard resolution will install the trees in the same size and resolution as the default trees. So you should not see any difference in terms of performance. The High Definiton trees are twice the size and resolution as the default trees. This resolution is recommended for users with high-end systems. Why are some of the trees misplaced in some places? Keep in mind that our product simply replaces the autogen trees but the simulator decides where to place the autogen trees. This may result on some trees being placed where they aren t supposed to be. This is due to the way the simulator selects autogen. For example, you may see a tropical tree placed in a region where tropical trees don t grow. Luckily, this happens very rarely so this will not detract your enjoyment of this product.

7 How come some trees change places when I change from one season to another? The simulator tends to switch the places of trees during all four seasons. You may see a tree in a different place in autumn than it was during summer. This is once again due to the way the simulator selects autogen during the different seasons. How come the color of the trees don t change when I select Fall in the simulator? It depends on the date the simulator selects. Sometimes when you select Fall in the time and season options in the simulator it selects the month of November. For example, if you are flying in the northern hemisphere you must select the date in the simulator between late September and early October in order to see the trees in autumn colors. How do I uninstall this software? You can find the uninstall program that restores the default trees and vegetation in your main FSX/Natural Tree Environment X folder The Prepar3D version can be found your main Prepar3D/ Natural Tree Environment X folder. Example: C:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Natural Tree Environment X or C:\Program Files(x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D\Natural Tree Environment X Inside those folders you will find the the uninstall program as well as this user guide.
