3 CRYSTAL TRIMMING lines crystal trimming lines Preciosa premium Preciosa standard Preciosa traditional 4 trimmings are best paired with leaded crystal blown glass components and typically reserved for our collection of luxury chandeliers. They are requested by our most discerning customers around the world for high profile areas such as hotel lobbies, specialty suites, exclusive dining rooms and private residences. Preciosa Premium trimmings are produced with full leaded crystal and are machine cut. This method guarantees the precision of the facets and angles, maximizing the light refraction and brilliance. In order to amplify the sparkle, we recommend a metal plated finish. We do not suggest coloring this type of crystal as this procedure somewhat diminishes the brilliance of the ornaments. trimmings are most widely used for both traditional and contemporary lighting designs in residential and hospitality settings. Using leaded crystal they are either machine-cut or hand-cut. They are often colored but rarely used with a plated metal finish. This trimming quality is sometimes combined with pressed and hand cut leaded glass in order to achieve the desired effect. trimmings are commonly used with large scale chandeliers for grand open spaces such as theaters, opera houses, places of worship and historical buildings. They are made with lead free crystal and usually hand pressed or partially hand cut. This grade is the most traditional on the market dating back to the 18 th century when the trimmings adorned Maria Theresa, cast brass and glass chandeliers.
