Both Single and Double Leaf door-sets feature 1no set of Ironmongery to the Master door only, Double Leaf door-sets do not have any additional ironmongery installed to the Slave door except concealed sliding-bolts. All of our finishes and patinas are skillfully created and applied by our experienced and committed craftspeople to the highest possible standards to meet the aspirations of today s discerning customer. Colour and texture variation is inherent in the creation of hand finished patinas and once installed, touch, time and environment should lead to gradual wear and oxidization, lending character and elegance. LACQUERED Lacquer is applied to aid the preservation of the original finish on some products. These finishes are not recommended for use in high traffic areas or external locations as the lacquer will break down prematurely resulting in a patchy appearance. Whilst the following images provide a good representation of our finishes and patinas, due to the restrictions within the printing process the actual finish may differ. To assist the specification process metal swatches and actual product samples can be made available upon request. Please contact us for availability.

4 SP Polished Silver BS Butlers Silver AS Antique Silver CHB Chestnut Bronze 92.5% pure silver plate on top of a highly polished, mirror finish, solid brass surface. This is an unlacquered living finish, intended to gradually oxidize and patina over time. 5 EBB Ebony Bronze DMB Dark Matt Bronze ABU Antique Brass IBU Imperial Brass LACQUERED - DECORATIVE Dark, almost black, bronze patina applied to a copper plated, sateen polished solid brass surface producing a soft, slightly reflective, sheen. This is then treated with a thin beeswax coating for protection during transit and installation. An unlacquered living finish, intended to gradually oxidize and patina over time. 10 Frank Allart Finish Expectations and Performance Polished Silver (SP): This finish is a highly polished real silver plate and will tarnish Cleaning is essential to keep it in its original state. Butlers Silver (BS): This finish will also tarnish, but with the surface having a burnished appearance it is not as essential as the SP finish to keep it polished. Antique Silver (AS): As the name suggests this finish gives an old look and therefore other than a light application of wax occasionally this finish can be left to age naturally. Chestnut Bronze (CHB): This finish has already been relieved and any further wear through use will blend into the finish and continue to look authentic Ebony Bronze (EBB): This finish is our darkest finish and is applied to copper plate on top of a brass base. It is an unprotected finish and will wear through handling, ending up looking more like CHB over time dependant on the frequency of use. Dark Matt Bronze (DMB): This finish performs like EBB only it has a matt lacquer applied to it. The lacquer used is not a high performance lacquer and is designed to wear off and is simply used to give the finish a matt appearance. Antique Brass (ABU): This is one of most popular finishes because when the antique finish wears off, the brass has already started to tarnish giving the appearance expected of an antique brass finish. Imperial Brass (IBU): This finish was originally developed to finish items that were not readily available in real bronze. The finish will wear through use and the yellow of the brass will become visible where handled regularly. Satin Brass (SB): This finish is brass which has had the sheen removed from the brass surface in this case lacquered to help protect it from tarnishing. The down side to any lacquer is that it will eventually break down and come off giving a patchy appearance. Plated Nickel and Chromes (HBN, SN, PN, MBN, PBN, PRL, SNB, AN, AND, PC, SC): These finishes are our hardest wearing finishes having nickel or chrome plate applied to a brass base. So long as the care of finish instructions are carried out there will be little change in appearance to these finishes. Polished Copper (PKU): This finish is without lacquer and therefore the finish will tarnish and need cleaning to keep it in its original state. Polished Solid Bronze (PGA): This is an aged highly polished solid bronze that will lighten where handled and darken where not. Rustic Bronze RG: As the name suggests, this is an aged rustic solid bronze the finish will lighten where handled and darken where not. The finish may occasionally look cloudy through natural oxidisation and cleaning with wax will easily remove it. Rustic Solid Bronze Dark (RGD): This finish goes through an extra process to darken it, but other than that it will perform exactly as RG.
