Powdercoat over galvanised steel may cause imperfections in paint A lot of our furniture items are hot dip galvanised for maximum corrosion protection. However due to the non uniform nature of galvanizing it is difficult to control the quality of the powder coated surface. Gassing may occur, the result being small dots or roughness on the painted surface. This does not affect the longevity of the protective coating, and is generally deemed as an acceptable compromise in order to achieve the protective properties of galvanizing. The Alphatec range generally exhibits more imperfections than the Durraloy Range. The Durraloy FG Range in particular is the most stable. Draffin does not accept liability for these imperfections. If these small imperfections are not acceptable for your application, it is recommended that a 2 Pak Paint system be used. This will incur extra cost. Duratec delivers superior gloss and colour retention when compared with standard polyester powder coatings. It has been developed for use on architectural aluminium including window and door frames, panel work and other exterior metal features and is supported by a 20 year durability warranty * when applied by a Dulux Registered Applicator. For an added touch of class, Precious is an ideal choice for architectural residential fittings such as aluminium windows, doors, balustrades, fences, as well as interior items and other metal substrates. Supported by a 10 year durability warranty * on architectural aluminium for BCA Class 1 and Class 10 residential projects, when applied by a Dulux Registered Applicator. Alphatec includes a range of fun, bright colours ideal for items including playgrounds, electrical cabinets, interior fit-out, industrial design and metal consumer products.
