All welds shall be smoothly finished and free from pits and splatter All components shall not contain any burrs, sharp edges or non-functional sharp points (test by touch or sight) Product shall not contain any loose components or unsecured fastening where rigidity is required All aspects of the sample shall function properly as intended or claimed or stated with no performance defects Weight Test Standard 2 Samples For earring, over 12.0g will be a Measurement failure For sterling silver product and fine jewelry: 1) items only have a -7% tolerance, no positive tolerance is applied and this means that the items can weight more than the statement in the spec without failure 2) EMEA has a +/- 7% tolerance and anything out of this tolerance will be a failure. Claim: 1 Sample Normally, base metal is confirmed during XRF testing. If there is a difference in base metal from what is declared in the spec, the PPS report must be failed. Additionally, chain and stampings must be checked with a magnet to confirm to the spec. If material declared does not conform to material tested, the report will be failed. 1 Sample This is a check to insure that material declared by the supplier is truly stainless steel. If material declared does not conform to material test, the report will be failed 3 Samples No removal of the finish indicates a satisfactory regular adhesion.

6 Test Report No /HLL15/0447 Date: March 02, 2015 Page 6 of 16 Perspiration Resistance Accelerated Nickel Leach Test Accelerated Product Test Samples (01 for control) Place sample to be tested into a beaker and add sufficient perspiration solution to completely immerse for 24 hours. After 2, 4, 6and 8 hours remove sample from the test solution and inspect samples. Record any changes as compared to controls. No change 1 Sample Any pink color would be a failure. 1 Sample Add 1 drop or spray the desired solution to the element to be tested, the element has to be sitting on a clean, dry, unused paper towel that is folded in quarters or eights. Let the item react with the solution during 3 minutes, after 3 minutes push the beads or stones 2 mm aside using a glass or wooden rod, in case of e-coated items touch the surface of the element with the finger to evaluate the status of the surface. INTREPRETATION OF RESULTS: For Colored Beads and Stones if very little or no color bleeds onto the towel where the beads had been. Failure if significant color bleed occurs. Refer to the attached images. Report the result with each different type of bead. Include a photograph of failures. For E-coating evaluation If the e-coating becomes sticky, it is not properly cured and it should have a fail result. Other Signs of poor curing are the color change of the coating from transparent to a milky appearance; the quick softening of the coating surface that can cause the coating to be removed by nail and conductivity on the tested surface, Refer to the attached images.

Same length multiple strands are pulled together at 8lbs; different lengths multiple strands: the inside strand are pulled at 8lbs and the outer strands are pulled at 4lbs. For Non-EMEA chain (children s item): cannot be detached at 8lbs but must be detached at 15lbs; For EMEA charm (children s item): cannot be detached at 20lbs; For EMEA chain (children s item): cannot be detached at 5lbs but must be detached at 6lbs. For Non-EMEA sterling silver chain (children s item): cannot be detached at 5lbs but must be detached at 15lbs; For EMEA sterling silver charm (children s item): cannot be detached at 20lbs; For EMEA sterling silver chain (children s item): cannot be detached at 5lbs but must be detached at 6lbs. Pull test to validate connection force of magnets is 250g unless the item does not allow a straight pull on the 2 elements connected by the magnet, in this case the requirement is increased to 500 g. If magnet is not used in a load bearing way which has continuous tension during use (as in a N/L closure) the force required is only 120g. No detached or broken parts. 1 Sample Repeat 5 repetitions pull 2 x resting length. Record any breakage and increase in length if any 5 Samples A minimum requirement of 1.77 inch pounds (0.2 Nm) is required on earring and pin assemblies unless otherwise specified. Note any breakage of sample at the solder bond.

8 Test Report No /HLL15/0447 Date: March 02, 2015 Page 8 of 16 Impact Drop Test Stone Adhesion Clay Test samples (Vendor should provide 6 samples in case that drop test need to be repeated for items with glass, stones and natural componen t Use an apparatus capable of mechanically dropping pieces at a predetermined height without imparting any moment. Use a drop height of 36 inches for most jewelry (including sterling silver) and watches or 48 inches on Wood for fine jewelry unless otherwise specified; from March 3013 all rings (except sterling silver) will be tested 48 inches on steel during PPS test and also during FRI from June 1st Impact platform is made of a minimum of 5/8 (1.5 cm) thick steel. Alternate impact platform for specially specified items is ¾ 1 (2 2.5 cm) plywood. Allow at least 72 hours for full adhesive cure prior to testing. Conditioning steps: After curing, age 5 pieces for 30 minutes at room temperature C After conditioning, allow all samples to equilibrate to room conditions. Position piece on drop tester with stones facing down for 1st drop. For remaining drops, position piece randomly. Drop each piece a maximum of ten times (4 times for watches) or until total failure occurs. Collect any stones that fall out. Record drops passed. Repeat drop procedure for each piece. Identify the cause of failure by inspection of the stone and the stone cavity under a low power binocular microscope. Refer some special Guidelines for Sterling Silver, Fine Jewelry and Jewelry in Sample Press the jewelry firmly into the material. Make sure that the adhesive covers all the stones. Pull jewelry quickly away from adhesive. Inspect for missing stones (See result page)

9 Test Report No /HLL15/0447 Date: March 02, 2015 Page 9 of 16 Coating Conductivity Sample 1. Touch the leads of the tester to check for audible beep and that tester is working 2. Lightly touch the surface of the jewelry with the leads of the tester insuring that the leads do not touch. The jewelry should be touched with the side of the lead not the tip. One has to be careful not to pierce the coating (lacquer) with the lead 3. Audible beeps indicate no coating present 4. Intermittent beeps indicate a thin coating or a non-uniform coating 5. No beeps indicate a good coating Check several different areas of the jewelry Refer some special Guidelines in

10 Test Report No /HLL15/0447 Date: March 02, 2015 Page 10 of 16 Sulfur or Tellurium Tarnish Test for Coated Silver, Brass Plated Items and Rose Gold Items Samples (01 for control) Add Silver, Brass or Rose Gold plated item to the test solution and start timing. Testing time is as follows: *2 mins sulfur for all plating types. *2 mins Te for coated silver plated items, including some items which are combined with brass, flash gold altogether) *15 sec Te for Sterling silver, Non-silver plated items including Brass plating/imitation gold/rose gold/flash gold/flash Rh or Pd/Worn gold/imitation rose gold. *10 sec Te for IP rose gold Ear Post Fusion Test After time is finished remove the samples, rinse with water and allow to dry on a white paper towel (a white background is necessary for accurate color judgment). Judge the color of the samples by comparison to an untested control sample. Shading from light glare with a white paper is useful for identifying any black or brown areas that have tarnished. For sterling silver, pls refer to the pictures in pass/fail criteria. No color change, yellow, brown, or a graying or blackening may occur in depending on the quality of the protective layer.
