14 Annexure: Criteria Criteria Job Role Jewellery Component Maker Qualification Pack G&J/Q0608, v1.0 Sector Skill Council Gem & Jewellery Skill Council of India Sr. Guidelines for No. 1 Criteria for assessment for each Qualification Pack will be created by the Sector Skill Council. Each Performance Criteria (PC) will be assigned marks proportional to its importance in NOS. SSC will also lay down proportion of marks for and for each PC. 2 The assessment for the theory part will be based on knowledge bank of questions created by the SSC. 3 Individual assessment agencies will create theory question papers for candidates at every examination/training centre. (as per assessment criteria below). 4 Individual assessment agencies will create practical tests for skill evaluation for candidates at every examination/training centre. (as per assessment criteria below). 5 To pass the Qualification Pack, every candidate should score a minimum 50% of aggregate marks to successfully clear the assessment. 6 In case of successfully passing only certain number of NOSs, the candidate is eligible to take subsequent assessment on the balance NOSs to pass the Qualification Pack. 7 In case of unsuccessful completion, the trainee may seek reassessment on the Qualification Pack

G&J/N0601 Draw wire or strip from precious metal or alloy bar_v2.0 PC1. anneal, clean and dry ingot or bar prior to rolling or drawing PC2. check that ingot surface and rollers are free of any debris or excess oil causing slippage PC3. ensure parallel roller alignment using spirit level and open the gap between the rollers, check if the ingot passes through gap easily, then reduce the roller gap to make a light contact with ingot and no slippage PC4. reduce the gap gradually by turning handle; which increases the pressure on the sheet PC5. ensure that the sheet is fed straight to the rolls to avoid formation of crescent shaped edges PC6. ensure that the thickness of wire or sheet is within the prescribed limits using wire gauge after every two gauge reduction PC7 anneal sheet or wire at intermediate stages to avoid cracking or flaking, uneven elongation causing swept or rockered sheet PC8. reduce wire diameter further by using a draw plate manually or with automatic drawing machine PC9. check the rolled sheet for any uneven thickness due to crowning of rollers
