The IMBA PAC Golf Outing kicks off the start of the convention on Monday, June 4, and will be held at the River Glen Country Club in Fishers, only 15 minutes from the Marriott.

Prior to lunch, you can warm up on the range with a bucket of balls as well as practice on the putting greens.

Premier Platinum Special Events IMBA PAC Golf Outing Back again this year, IMBA is hosting a golf scramble that will benefit the IMBA Political Action Committee (PAC). The IMBA PAC Golf Outing kicks off the start of the convention on Monday, June 4, and will be held at the River Glen Country Club in Fishers, only 15 minutes from the Marriott. Early-Bird Pricing through April 30th for golfers is $100 each; one foursome is $400; and two foursomes per company are $700. Lunch is included for each participant. Prior to lunch, you can warm up on the range with a bucket of balls as well as practice on the putting greens. There will also be photos and records from the past on display. The dinner is at the Indianapolis Marriott North, and will start at 6:15PM. Also, while the cost of this is included in the Full Convention option, for those wishing to register for this alone, the cost is $80. 5 Featured Speakers Karl F. Berron, CAE Chief Executive Officer Indiana Association of REALTORS Karl F. Berron is Chief Executive Officer of the Indiana Association of REALTORS. IAR is one of the largest associations in the state with approximately 17,000 members. Karl joined IAR in 1989 as Vice President of Government Relations, a position he held until becoming CEO in 2007.He has formerly served as President of the Government Affairs Society of Indiana, Chair of the Indiana Fiscal Policy Institute, Chair of NAR s State AE Forum, and currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Indiana Legal Foundation. He graduated from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics and Public Policy and also has an MPA in Public Finance from IU s School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Rob Chrisman, Chrisman, Inc. Rob Chrisman began his career in mortgage banking 32 years ago in His background is primarily capital markets and includes hedging pipelines, running a small subprime company, and helping various companies with capital markets issues on a consulting basis. Rob currently publishes a widely read daily market commentary on current mortgage events. He holds a BS from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and an MBA from UC Berkeley. Brian J. Chappelle, Potomac Partners Brian J. Chappelle is a founding partner of Potomac Partners a Washington-based consulting firm specializing in mortgage finance industry representation. The firm, which handles an array of legislative, regulatory and transactional matters for many of the nation s leading mortgage lenders, was formed in September Earlier, Brian was Senior Staff Vice President for the Mortgage Bankers Association. Prior to joining MBA, Mr. Chappelle was Director, Single Family Development Division of the Federal Housing Administration. In that position, he administered FHA s loan production activities including product development and underwriting requirements. Mr. Chappelle had primary responsibility for the development of FHA s Direct Endorsement and Adjustable Rate Mortgage Programs. Tom Dinwiddie, Wooden & McLaughlin, LLP Tom Dinwiddie is a partner at the law firm of Wooden & McLaughlin. He graduated from DePauw University and the Indiana University School of Law Indianapolis. Tom is recognized as an expert on real estate finance and has a great deal of experience with Federal and State mortgage licensing and regulation. He has represented the Indiana Mortgage Bankers Association for over thirty years, drafting some of the most important Indiana mortgage lending statutes. Kim Harris, Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority As the Homeownership Director for the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, Kim Harris is asked to create innovative Homeownership Programs for the Participating Lender network that aids in getting more borrowers in the right home responsibly. Kim s background includes a Business Administration degree from Indiana State University, and 40 years of experience in the lending industry. 6 Featured Speakers Continued Vince Maloney, USDA-Rural Development Vince Maloney has been with USDA-Rural Development for 35 years and has been the Single Family Housing Program Director since April, USDA-Rural Development s Single Family Housing Programs provide loans, grants, and guarantees for people in eligible rural areas to purchase or repair houses. These programs pumped over $700 million into Indiana s economy during fiscal year 2017 (October, 2016, to September, 2017). Vince manages the program with the help of 25 Single Family Housing staff around the state. Dennis Smith, Freddie Mac Dennis Smith is an affordable lending manager in the Single-Family Affordable Lending and Access to Credit division. He manages the manufactured housing initiatives that support Freddie Mac s underserved markets plan. A 20-year mortgage industry veteran, Mr. Smith has worked in a variety of areas, including underwriting and process management, process improvement and product development. He also managed the CRA and bond programs for a super-regional mortgage company. Renee Schultz, Fannie Mae Renee Schultz is Fannie Mae s Senior Vice President Capital Markets. She manages Fannie Mae s Capital Markets Pricing and Sales Desk, Structured Transactions, the Credit Risk Transfer program, and the Whole Loan Conduit. Schultz also oversees Fannie Mae s Securitization policy team, which ensures proper administration of matters related to the strategic and business value of Fannie Mae securities. Prior to joining Fannie Mae in 1998, Schultz was Assistant Vice President of Secondary Marketing with Trustcorp Mortgage Company, and has a bachelor of arts in economics from St. Mary s College, Notre Dame. L. Maria Vergara President NAHREP Consulting Services Luz Maria (Maria) Vergara is President of NAHREP Consulting Services (NCS), a marketing consulting firm specializing in the Hispanic segment and housing industry. She has over twenty years of experience and in depth knowledge of the financial, investment and housing industries while serving in senior management roles at organizations such as Citi, Prudential/ Wachovia, and Edward Jones. Maria holds a Bachelor Degree in International Relations and a Master s degree in Marketing, and has received many industry accolades and recognitions for her expertise in the areas of diversity and inclusion. She is a sought after speaker and regular contributor to many industry publications on the subject of multicultural markets. Rick Wajda Chief Executive Officer Indiana Builders Association Rick Wajda is the CEO for the Indiana Builders Association, a trade association representing nearly 3,000 member companies across Indiana. Rick is the IBA s chief lobbyist, and works with members of the Indiana General Assembly and Indiana s regulatory agencies to insure housing affordability is taken into consideration when policy makers craft laws and regulations for Indiana s citizens. Rick is also the Chairman of the Association to Build a Better Indiana, IBA s political action committee and serves as a spokesperson for the industry on housing related issues. He is a past President of the Governmental Affairs Society of Indiana, and served on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Indiana.
