During 1999 generated liters of new business and contributed 20% to Castrol India s growth of 3 Million liters for the year. Product range includes Fuel additives that are ISO compliant and reduce consumption, reduce emissions and reduce wear & tear of fuel injectors and pumps. Other products include after-treatment for engines, gear box, transmissions and specialty greases. Encourage and promote use of ISO & HOCNF approved products for a clean & green environment. Use of products lead to accrual of Carbon credits. Feb Nov 2008, Head Operations & Delivery Manipal Universal (MEMG), Hyderabad Initially responsible for managing retail business of Sikkim Manipal University (SMU) and a 100 seater Prometric type Testing & Training Center at Hyderabad and later across India. During the year 2006 logged approx plus admissions (5400 new and 5100 re registrations) and generated a turnover of about Rs 60 million. Footfalls in the Testing & Training SBU exceeded 140,000 candidates during 2006/7 and generated an additional Rs 19 million. Since May 2007 heading the Operations of 19 Online Test centers located in 15 cities in India, assets include 1100 Test terminals and 84 people. In the last project successfully served the Manipal University 08 On line PG entrance exams for 8000 candidates and plus candidates for UG admissions. During July/Aug 2009 served over 10,000 tests for the Sikkim Manipal University (SMU) on line semester exams. Between served over a million recruitment online tests for ICICI, SCB, HAL etc.. Also managed the Semester exams of Kasturbai Medical College, Manila past three years. During my tenure increased the business from a small 200 kl/yr business to 1200 kl/yr business in a space of less than ten years. Due to exemplary performance obtained a series of promotions, was Nominated Top Castrol rep in India in Accepted challenging transfer to Western region (Mumbai), Eastern region (Kolkotta) and Southern Region (Chennai). During the last 4 years of the tenure in Castrol was responsible for All India/National Sales and managed a Profit Center for different sub segments in the Industrial domain. Led a team that cracked the largest lubricant order in Burmah Castrol Plc. Bagged an order from APSRTC for 3 million liters of lubricants, against stiff competition from PSU giants like IOC, HPCL, BPCL. The order was worth Rs 120 million. Responsibilities include developing dealer network, providing technical support, trouble shooting; conducting lube clinics and garage meets at dealer s premises and locations. Generated a growth of 12% over previous year s sales. July 1995 till June 1997 Sales Manager Industrial and Commercial and based at Kolkatta Transferred to Calcutta and responsible for managing the direct and retail sales to the industries and institutions in West Bengal, Orissa and North Eastern States. Generated growth of 15% over the previous year and by adopting a good product mix maintained the Gross Margin per unit at Rs 16.00/Lt. Achievements include securing order for Fire Resistant Hydraulic Fluids from the Budge Budge Power Station, secured order for synthetic turbine lubricant for aviation turbine used in Captive Power Plant in Oil India, Duliajan, in North East. Bagged and executed Liter orders for maintenance oils from a leading steel PSU, for the Rourkela Steel Plant modernization. The order was bagged after a series of discussions with the technical staff of RSP and the also by interacting with the Russian experts. The interaction with the Russian team helped in getting exposure to GOST specifications. Bagged annual order from Calcutta Municipal Corporation for the full range of automotive engine and gear oils and also greases. In view of the performance won an incentive trip to Malaysia and Singapore.

5 Work experience with BPCastrol India Limited (Cont..) July 1997 till December 1998 Sales Manager Industrial and Commercial and based at Chennai Responsible for managing the direct and retail business to the industries and institutions in Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and also Coimbatore. Major achievements include a 3 Million-liter order worth over Rs 120 Million from APSRTC, 1 million-liter order from Singarenni Collieries. Both these orders were predominately for automotive products like Engine oils, and automotive gears oils and All Purpose Grease and Brake fluids. These two orders contributed more than 10% of Castrol India s Industrial and Commercial projections for 1998 January 1999 till December 2000 National Business Manager based at Chennai Having successfully met the business commitments with the regional assignments was given additional responsibility with an All India or National assignment. Given the responsibility of managing the direct and retail sales to the industrial sub segment for Cement & Bricks, Rubber, and Glass & Ceramics. Developed a business plan and built sales strategy encompassing the various segment requirements and also by judicious use of limited manpower had by the end of the year, more than doubled sales and profits during the first year itself. During 1998 the Sales turnover was Rs 360 Million, sales volume of liters and Gross profit Rs 105 Million. By generating liters of additional volume during 1999 doubled the sales turnover to Rs 730 Million, the sales volume to 1.4 Million liters. The Gross profit rose to Rs 238 Million. Though 1999 was a very challenging year for Castrol India Limited and growth generated during the year was only 3 Million. Segments handled by my team contributed 0.6 Million liters or almost 20% of the sales growth for the year was an equally challenging year as base oil prices hit the sky and affected the gross profit by almost Rs 8/- per liter. My team adopted a strategy of consolidation and year-end figures were gratifying. Sales turnover was Rs 790 Million, Volume rose to 1.5 Million liters and gross profit dipped to Rs 190 Million. January 2001 to Nov 2001 Senior Business Manager Southern region based at Chennai Responsible for leading a team of 6 sales persons covering the Indian States of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Goa. Product portfolio comprised of both conventional lubes and specialty products ( Tribol & Optimol range.) Managed retail and direct customer sales of automobile, industrial and marine lubricants to the process industries. Set an annual target of Rs 2900 Million and deliver a Gross profit of Rs 430 Million. In 11 months had delivered a Gross Profit of Rs 390 Million on sales of approximately Rs 2500 million. Operated in a Profit Center environment and responsible for developing sales strategies, building business plans and delivering the Gross profits budgeted for the business.
