5 Deborah Duncan Master of Ceremonies When you look at how Deborah Duncan grew up, it is no surprise that she ended up in the communication business. Raised in a military family, her early years were spent in Taiwan and Japan. As her family constantly moved around, young Deborah attended five different elementary schools. At each school, determined to learn everything about her new friends, Deborah honed her interviewing skills. She completed grade school in San Antonio where her father retired. Deborah then enrolled at the University of Texas in Austin and earned a degree in Radio-Television-Film. After a couple of years in radio, Deborah made the switch to television. After three years on the Texas television scene, Deborah moved to New York to cohost Our Home. Although she loved New York City, her heart was still in Texas. In December 2002, Deborah joined KHOU-TV Channel 11 as an anchor on 11 News This Morning. Today, Deborah hosts of Great Day Houston. The show, produced locally by KHOU-TV, airs weekdays at 9:00 a.m. on Channel 11. Helping a Hero and MSgt Zac Rhymer, USAF (Ret) featured on The Today Show Memorial Day 2017.

6 Leadership KELLY RALEY, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Kelly Raley began volunteering with Helping A Hero over a decade ago. She is pleased to have the opportunity to continue championing its nonprofit mission serving wounded veterans as its Executive Director. Over the years, Kelly has been privileged to get to know many of the wounded veterans served by Helping A Hero, and their families, and through them has learned about their daily struggles, challenges and triumphs. Kelly was Phi Beta Kappa, Outstanding Senior and Homecoming Queen of the University of Oklahoma. She moved to Texas in 1985 from Scotland with her husband, John, who was serving there as a Rotary Scholarship Ambassador. After graduating from the University of Houston Law Center in 1989, she began her legal career in the Intellectual Property and Technology Litigation section at Vinson & Elkins, LLP. Before joining the staff of Helping A Hero, Kelly was a litigation attorney at Raley & Bowick, LLP where she was honored to assist the pro bono legal team which helped exonerate a wrongfully convicted man who served 25 years of a life sentence in prison before being proven actually innocent. She and her husband have three adult children. Board of Directors HON.
