1 Nanette Anderson MAICD Nanette Anderson is a director of exploration company RNI NL. Prior to this appointment she was the Managing Director of Southern Gold Ltd, where she was instrumental in securing finance for their key mining project, with S&P ASX 300 mining company Metals X Ltd. Ms Anderson has previously held directorships with Jaguar Minerals Ltd and is the Principal of advisory business Edge Effect. Nanette s career started in the resource sector, developing projects throughout Australia and South East Asia. Moving into the corporate side of the business her experience now spans strategic and company policy development, corporate governance and building stakeholder interest through promotion and networking. 2 Michelle Bentley GAICD General Manager of Hender Careers, Michelle has had a rewarding career in education, training, coaching and career transition. Previously an Independent school A/Principal and Deputy, for the last twelve years she has worked in the corporate sector. Michelle is experienced in providing quality services in; organisational change and restructure, human resource management, career management, training and development. Michelle works across all domains of business and industries and is particularly interested in the intersection between board governance and the empowering of CEO s and their workforce. Having graduated from the Company Directors Course, Paul s board experience has been five years on the Committee of Management for Parkinson s South Australia. He was nominated as their representative to the Board of Parkinson s Australia nearly four years ago. Since then he has served for over three years as national Treasurer and nearly one year as national President. 3 Diana De Hulsters GAICD Diana joined AICD in 2011 and has been a committee member of the Tomorrow s Director Committee since 2013, where she facilitates events and contributes to the development of initiatives for aspiring and new directors. Diana completed the Company Directors Course in 2012 while also completing an MBA. She volunteers as a mentor in Flinders New Venture Institute and for Business SA s SAYES. 7 David Saint GAICD David Saint obtained a PhD in Pharmacology and Physiology from St Andrews University in 1982, became a Research fellow at ANU in He relocated to Adelaide University in 1996 and became a tenured member there in 2000, where he is currently Head of the Discipline of Physiology. In parallel with this academic career, he has pursued a business / management career, being founder and CEO of two start-up pharma companies, one of which is now listed on AIM in the UK. He has an MBA(Advanced) from Adelaide University (2003) and GAICD (2012). He is currently Chairman of Bioangels, a private equity investment group, and Chairman of a NFP in the disability employment sector. 8 Ross Springolo FAICD Ross Springolo is currently the Director, Strategic Services and Governance at Charles Darwin University based in Darwin. In this role he is responsible for the University s overall governance function. He sits on a number of external Boards and Committees. 9 Karen Taylor GAICD Karen Taylor is a highly skilled senior executive and Director. Her career has been spent largely working in not for profit organisations. She has also managed at a senior level in a commercial environment running one of the most successful private RTOs in Australia along with having operated within a government/policy driven environment in her current role as CEO of a national Industry Skills Council. A significant component of Karen s current role is to interpret the political, industrial and economic landscape and its impact on vocational education and training and industry need in contemporary Australia. She has played a key role in influencing the development and implementation of national VET policies along with cultural and practice change in workforce development across the national VET system.
