Jim Bailey GAICD Jim has been a professional director for more than 20 years and is passionate about giving something back to the Australian director and business community. Jim has been a Board Member (and Chair) for a number of companies, both NFP and Private. In recent years, Jim has been a director at Northern Health and chairs an advisory committee for the La Trobe University Business School. He has quite a deal of experience in Not for Profits and considers himself well versed in a range of Private companies as well as being strong in Governance, HR and Event Management. Jim has been a member of the AICD for over 10 years and is a graduate of the Company Directors Course (in 2012). She has also been Executive Director since She currently serves as an independent NED on the boards of McMillan Shakespeare Ltd and MTAA Superannuation and is an Executive Director at Pitcher Partners Melbourne. Sue has Chaired Finance Committees, Audit Committees, Risk Committees and Investment Committees. In addition Sue served for five years on the Victorian AICD's Not For Profit Committee. Sue is committed to maintaining and improving governance practices in all of these sectors in such a way that supports and enhances the success of organisations and the prosperity of our community. Continuous improvement through education and policy development will assist directors and others charged with governance, to build confidence and respect of their actions in both commercial and not-for-profit entities, in the communities in which they operate. Jane is currently a director of IOOF Holdings Ltd, UGL Ltd, DUET Finance Ltd, Bupa ANZ, Colonial Foundation Ltd and Orygen, the National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health. Jon commenced his career with Rolls Royce in the British military/ defence sector before migrating to Australia in 1988 where today he has a total of 33 years international experience in sectors spanning consulting, corporate, government, military, security, academia and training. In addition to being a master trainer/ assessor, Jon has also proven himself in assisting businesses with world class strategy through to operational execution solutions with organisations like KPMG, PwC etc. and wishes to volunteer his skills to assist in the areas of education, resources, corporate governance advocacy and membership events with AICD s VIC Division Council. Jon has been a Fellow of AICD since November 2003 and is a past graduate of the Company Directors Course. Nominators: Richard Morris (MAICD), Vince Gill (GAICD) Andrew Logie-Smith B. Ec, LLB, GAICD Andrew is a corporate lawyer and Managing partner of Logie-Smith Lanyon a mid-tier Melbourne based law firm. During his 30 year legal career he has worked with and advised clients in an extremely diverse range of Australia industries. Andrew has been able to successfully fuse together business acumen and vision with his significant legal capabilities. In combination with his direct approach to communication, and capacity to quickly analyse and comprehend business opportunities and goals, Andrew is sought after as both an advisor to business and increasingly as an independent director. Over recent years Andrew has become actively involved with a variety of businesses. Currently Andrew is the Chair of Allard Shelton Real Estate and WTFN Entertainment, a director of Real Estate Institute of Victoria, and Savi Technology (a US supply chain technology entity) and the Company Secretary of National Trust of Australia (Victoria). Nominators: David Cartney (FAICD), Alan Fisher (MAICD) Bruce McDonald GAICD Bruce has complemented his earlier extensive career with Ford Motor Company in Australia and overseas with his role as a non-executive director of Rural Workforce Agency, Victoria, a not-forprofit board in the health sector, for the past five years. Bruce has also been CEO of Driver Education Centre of Australia, a Victorian Government Business Enterprise in the transport education and training sector. More recently, he has been CEO of Australian Automotive Dealer Association, a Member Based Organisation in the automotive distribution sector. Bruce founded his consulting business, Advantage Point, in His business helps clients to achieve sustained performance improvement through a focus on differentiated strategy, inspirational leadership, engaged employees and delighted customers. Bruce has been a member of the AICD since 2009 and is a graduate of the Company Directors Course. Bruce strongly believes in the principle of making excellence a habit in all business activities, and considers effective governance as the pinnacle of such behaviour. She is actively involved in the development of future women directors and is a member of the AICD Chairman s Mentoring Scheme. During 2016 she chaired the AICD/Chief Executive Women Advisory Group meeting for Guidelines for Gender Reporting. Rebecca s executive career in the oil industry has positioned her well for a board portfolio of ASX listed industrial companies. She also has significant board experience in the industrial and commercial property sectors (listed and unlisted). She is passionate about occupational workplace health and safety and chairs committees on several boards. Over the last 5 years Rebecca has played a key role in the development of a grass roots social welfare NFP called Project New Dawn where she is Chairman. She is also Chairman of Kilfinan Australia. In addition to her active contribution to improving gender diversity, Rebecca has significant ASX board experience and wishes to volunteer her skills in director and boardroom skills development to the AICD s VIC Division Council. 6 Janice van Reyk FAICD Janice has been a professional company director since 2010, following a career as a senior executive in ASX 100 listed companies. She currently serves on the Boards of Lochard Energy Group, Port of Melbourne Corporation, Citywide, Northern Territory Environment Protection Authority and Melbourne Forum. She also chairs the Audit Committees of Lochard Energy Group and of Port of Melbourne and chairs the Safety Risk & Environment Committee of Citywide. Her previous appointments include Director of Melbourne Water, of Gippsland Water and of Victorian Arts Centre Trust; Independent Member of the Audit Committees of The Salvation Army and of Sustainability Victoria and Independent Member for the Public Inquiry into the Victorian EPA. Janice has strong experience in listed companies and the commercial sector, as well as government and not for profit sectors. She is a Leadership Victoria Fellow. Through CEO and Board roles, he has achieved significant influence and many achievements with particular focus in services innovation, organisational renewal and transformation. With over 30 years as a Director of Not for Profit enterprises, as well as many roles reporting to Boards, including as CEO across Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland He undertook the MBA for Senior Executives at Melbourne Business School (MBS) and successfully completed the Diploma, AICD Company Directors Course. His governance education has been enhanced by short courses, such as Non-profit Governance at Harvard Business School and Merger and Acquisition Strategy at MBS. Russ is building an impressive portfolio of executive and non-executive roles in government, NFP and charitable as well as the private sector. Russ is currently a director of Eating Disorders Vic (EDV) and of SIMNA Ltd having also been director of several private companies over time. Russ is passionate about organisations serving their missions by having the culture and systems in place to truly represent the interests of their members and shareholders particularly in the area of social & health services which is where his career has been focused. Russ has served as an officer in the Australian Army, an adviser to Cabinet ministers at two levels of government, as a commercial adviser to boards across the health and human services systems as well as an executive within the St Vincent de Paul family here in Victoria.
