He currently works at the Ministry of Youth and Sport National Centre for Voluntary Work, and he is a member of the youth peer education network. Fadi Falah AHMED Diplomatic Attaché Ministry of Foreign Affairs Fadi holds a Bachelor s Degree in English Language from Alturath College. He has worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2014 and has previous experience with Zain Telecommunication Company and as a clothes trader. Dalia Mohammed Hassan Hamid ALMONDERI Administrator Ministry of Industry Dalia holds a Bachelor s of Science in Chemistry and a Master of Science in Physical Chemistry from the University of Baghdad. She has 10 years experience working in Ministry of Industry and Minerals and currently serves as the administrator of explosives and chemical research in the explosives department. Her past experiences include a certified entrepreneurship course, work as an administrator of the technological incubators division, and various sciences courses, publications, and committee work. Ali Hameed Majeed AL-MAKHZOOMI Coordinator of Foreign Cultural Centers in Iraq Ministry of Culture Ali Hameed holds a Bachelors in Political Science from Baghdad University and a Law degree from Dijlah University. He participated in the Iraq Young Leaders Exchange Program at Virginia Commonwealth University, United States, as well as the Iraq Public Policy Leadership Program at the American University of Sharjah. He has also worked as a coordinator for foreign cultural centers in Iraq, including the Baghdad Creative City of Literature and Bil Weekend. Ali Ahmed Ali BUKTASH Environmental Engineer Ministry of Oil Ali Ahmed holds a Masters in Environmental Engineering from the University of Technology. He has worked at the Petroleum Research Development Center since 2014 as an environmental engineer, and he has experience in water analysis and environmental impact assessment. Ali Ahmed has taken a training course on water analysis in Japan. 2

3 Ali Nahi Abed AL-HASNAWI Petroleum Engineer Ministry of Oil Ali Nahi holds a Bachelors in Petroleum Engineering from Baghdad University. He has worked at the Petroleum Research Development Center for six years as a core analysis engineer and has experience in oil well dripping, reservoir engineering, oil production, and core analysis. He has participated in trainings in the United States, China, and Lebanon. Omar Mahmood Khaleel AL-AZZAWI Fuel Unit Manager Ministry of Oil Omar holds a Masters in Chemical Engineering from Missouri University. He has worked as chemical engineer since 2005 at the Petroleum Research Development Center; his work involves conducting research and tests of gasoline fuel. He is a member of the joint Iraq-Russia research group, and has personal experience researching carbon dioxide in relation to global warming. Saif Adel Hasan AAL SAUDI Public Relations Director Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce Saif holds and Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master in English Linguistics from the University of Mustansiriya. He works as the public relations director of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce. He has participated in various programs and events, including many that took place abroad, related to his work and also has experience as an interpreter and translator. Zayd Kifah HUSSAIN Software Developer Alesco (Alsalami) Company for Software Engineering Zayd holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering and Information Technology from the University of Technology. He works as a software developer for Al Salami Co. and has three years experience working with customers who want to build their own programs. Sabri Monaf SABRI Software Developer Mishwar Sabri holds a Bachelors in Computer Science from Al-Mustanstiya University. He is the lead software developer at d3 Studio, a design and development agency, and works part time at Mishwar. Asmahan Kamal Yahya JAF Account Manager and Community Engagement Officer Feka Store Asmahan holds a Bachelor in Computer Science from Al-Ma moon University. She works on community engagement and account management for Fekastore.com, as well as contributing her own painted and hand-crafted items to the store. 3

4 Ibrahim Hayder Ghanim AL-ZARAREE Lead Organizer and Facilitator Startup Weekend Baghdad Through his work as lead organizer, Ibrahim helped make Startup Weekend Baghdad the largest meet-up for aspiring entrepreneurs in Iraq. He has experience leading a team of people from various backgrounds and facilitating events. Ruaa Basil Kamal AL-JEBOURI Senior Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Officer Mercy Corps Ruaa holds a Bachelor of Science from Al-Nahrain University s College of Information Technology. She serves Mercy Corps as a senior monitoring, evaluation, and learning officer, which involves working for youth programs as a trainer for leadership skills and supporting youth-led community projects. Sama Basil Kamal AL-JUBOORI Senior Program Officer Mercy Corps Sama holds a Bachelor s degree in Information and Networks Engineering from Al Nahrain University. She works for Mercy Corps as senior officer implementing youth projects and as a mentor. Sama also has three years experience volunteering to help organize Startup Weekend Baghdad. Ahmed Abdulkareem HUSSEIN Liaison and Research Officer Mercy Hands Ahmed holds a Masters in Meteorology from Florida State University and a Bachelors in Atmospheric Sciences from Al-Mustansiriyah University. He works for Mercy Hands as liaison and research officer, which involves serving as project manager for the International Development Program s Monitoring Program and the Psychosocial Support for Children Program. Ahmed Salah Mohammed Taqfeeq WINDI Reporting, Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant Mercy Hands Ahmed holds a Bachelors in Materials Science from the University of Technology. He has two years experience in journalism, translation, and web management and is currently working for Mercy Hands as a reporting, monitoring, and evaluation assistant. Ahmed also has three years experience participating in civil society and volunteer activities. Zainalabideen Mohammed ALSHAMMARI Capacity Building Manager Iraqi Health Access Organization Zainalabideen holds a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering. He has eight years experience working with local and international NGOs, including serving as the Women Protection and Empowerment capacity building manager and the Iraq Al- Amal Association program coordinator and senior trainer. 4

5 Waleed Jasim Mohammed AL-SERARTI Doctor Iraq Health Access Organization Waleed holds a degree from the Alqadisiya University College of Medicine. He works as a radiotherapist doctor at the Alamal Hospital for Cancer Management and Nuclear Medicine. He also has experience volunteering as doctor for Dary Human for Relief and Medical Care and treating refugees and internally displaced persons. Arwa Baqer Kareem KADHMAWI Member, Board of Directors Iraqi Alumni Association Arwa holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Al-Mustansiriya University. She serves on the Development Horizon Association board of directors, works as civil engineer at Midland Oil Company, has two years experience as a university lecturer, and volunteers to mentor Iraqi youth. Ranya Sabah BAKR Documentation Team Member, Innovation for Development University of Al Nahrain Ranya holds a Bachelor degree in Architectural Engineering. She participated in the Iraq Young Leaders Exchange Program at Ball State University, United States, in 2014; the program s focus was entrepreneurship and community development. She has also completed an online course in entrepreneurship from Yale University. Alaq Khalid Majeed AL-MUWALI Medical Student University of Baghdad Alaq is a fifth-year medical student at the University of Baghdad. She has four years experience working with the International Federation of Medical Students Associations (Iraq) and is currently serving as vice president for external affairs. She has also volunteered with United Nations Development Programme s Innovation for Development. Yousuf Ihsan Khattab AL-RAWI Medical Student University of Baghdad Yousuf is a fifth-year medical student at the University of Baghdad. He is involved in various research projects and has worked with the International Federation of Medical Students Associations (Iraq) for four years. Hasan Ismaeel Abd Alkadum AL-RUBAIEY Technical Support Team Leader University of Technology Hasan holds a degree from the University of Technology Electrical Engineering Department; he also participated in the Iraqi University Linkage Program at Columbia College, United States. Hasan is currently studying for his Masters in Electrical Science Engineering and serves as an United Nations Development Programme volunteer. 5

In 2013, she participated in a Summer English Language Study program at Columbia College, United States. She has also worked as a UNDP Innovation and Development program volunteer for two years. 6
