Interview with Hek82:" Very happy to have Nik Kai on the line, and I have to ask him what is it like having become a famous guitar player at such as young age... Hello, Nik how are you?" 3 July 17, 2015 Hek82: You are such a great talent, and a teenager yet under 18, and some would say that you are a lucky person. Those who know guitar playing well can see that you are very skilled, and we hear your talent in your music. What do you have to say about how your talent developed at this age?" Nik Kai: Well, at this age...? It just came to me." Hek82: Excellent. You are young, weren't you 9 or 10 years old when you started playing?" Nik Kai: Yeah, I was 9." Hek82: Ok. Was it like an ispiration that you had starting off guitar playing?" Nik Kai: Well, the guitar players as an inspiration would be Randy Rhoads and Synyster Gates from Avenged Sevenfold." Hek82: Absolutely and we all love Randy Rhoads. Now, you're a teenager so I gotta ask you- Are you under the influence?" Nik Kai: No, I'm not under the influence What about you not being a teenager...?" Hek82: I'm joking- (pause- I'm under the influence of No Words) I meant of Randy Rhoads Do you want to name more guitar players who have been and continue to be an inspiration to you?" Nik Kai: Not to much time to listen to anything other than that. I've been so focused on my own recording and writing with other musicians.. I guess that's just how I built up my songwriting and guitar skills." Hek82: Cool, are you a fan of Dimebag Darrell as well?" Nik Kai: Definitely" Hek82: Me too. I have to say that I have been looking at your website and it looks like you've met and worked with a lot of excellent guitar players that are really well known these days. " Nik Kai: Yeah." Hek82: You're headed off to Wacken festival in Germany. I want to congratulate you on that. That is quite an achievement, quite an accomplishment. Are there some bands you're looking forward to meeting once you get there?" Nik Kai: For sure. Around the times we're playing there are bands on the bill like Rob Zombie Yeah, all of them." Hek82: Cool...what a line up, Black Label Society, Rob Zombie, Canniabl Corpse, Queensryche... to name a few, there are so many. Speaking of inspiration, I hope you're able to enjoy it." 3

4 July 17, 2015 Nik Kai: Definitely." Hek82: I like the band you have put together. Have you put out your first album yet?" Nik Kai: We are just getting signed and are in negotiations now with Motorhead Music, so after we do Wacken festival we'll come back and do our EP release which we just finished. Then we're going to do a short tour and in September we're doing the Motorboat that's the 29th thru Oct.2cd and then we'll be ready to record our full length record." Hek82: Ok, wow I'm sure a lot of fans will be waiting with great anticipation for that first album to come out, so hopefully we'll see you out then on tour and follow the band playing different venues across the country soon, if not eventually." Nik Kai: For sure" Hek82: Are you on summer break now? You don't attend a school year..." Nik Kai: Summer break? I guess you could say that." Hek82: Learning from the school of life and learning from some of the greatest musicians of all time... that you've been able to play with or support, it's wonderful. Do you have time for recreation as well? outside of your band? Favorite other activities?" Nik Kai: I do have activities outside the band.. I do Brazilian Jujitsu I work out." Hek82: Cool" Nik Kai: That's pretty much my life" Hek82: Cool I gotta say that you are greatly appreciated as a person and an inspiration to others as well. Influential in the music industry too, so you're off to good start for sure" Nik Kai: Yeah." Hek82: I have to say in regards to your songwriting, I like the way they are put together. You're a six piece group now? What I see with the vocals is that they're dynamic and interesting to me because it's not so often heard, a mix of two vocal styles." Nik Kai: I engineered and recorded the EP that we released." Hek82: Uh-huh, nice work." Nik Kai: Thank you." Hek82: Definitely. Antonio on lead vocals. Tony Savelio. 5 July 17, 2015 Nik Kai: Yes, Izzy Maxx on bass does all the screams." Hek82: Wow. You guys are gerat and I can see this really going far. I can't wait to hear a show, just as soon as I'm able, I'de love to hear your group play live." Nik Kai: Thank you." Hek82: Absolutely. Anything else you want to add about what the band is up to?" Nik Kai: Let's leave it at this for now." Hek82: Ok, cool. Congratulations to the band. Any of the other guys want to pipe in?" Nik Kai: Yeah, I'll give you Tony..." Hek82: Radio Hek82, I'm very happy to speak with members of your band tonight. I want to compliment your vocals of course" Tony Savelio: Thank you very much I'm glad you've listened. What's your favorite song?" Hek82: Well, I just love the new one you put out." Tony Savelio: I love the new one too, it's pretty solid, and we've worked hard on all of them." Hek82: The latest song was "What If", right?" Tony Savelio:"What If I"." Hek82: You have a very impressive vocal style. It sounds new, people have a lot of enthusiasm for this style of music. What you and Nik and the guys are putting together on your new album is exciting." Tony Savelio: Yeah man, we've been workin so hard, so all of it's exciting and to have something so amazing come out of a 14 yr. old producer is as crazy as it gets. Everything that we write, it just clicks you know, and we're on a roll so we're gonna just try and keep on doin' the same thing, maybe change it up in our own way." Hek82: Definitely on a roll and off to a good start. It's a new sounding metal and again, I would love to see a live show. I'll be following your band and check out the new album when it comes out. Now, were you trained vocally?" Tony Savelio: I got lucky... play a lot of Rock Band, easy enough to sing and sing and eventually someone finds you Hey, I like what you're doin, and then- magic Then you're playing Wacken festival." Hek82: Ha Congrats to your band on the Wacken festival." Tony Savelio: Thank you very much again." 5

6 July 17, 2015 Hek82: A lot of great groups at that festival. Wow, fantastic" Tony Savelio: It's pretty stokeworthy." Hek82: Absolutely. Well, you're a great singer and I'm happy to meet ya. Do any of the other guys want to tell me what they're up to?" Tony Savelio:Yeah, we're chillin with Izzy Maxx and he does the screams and the bass if you want to chit chat with him for a second." Hek82: Cool, thanks and best of luck to you." Tony Savelio: Thank you very much for your time." Izzy Maxx: Hello, is this Kate?" Hek82: Hello" Izzy Maxx: How ya doin', Kate this is Izzy." Hek82: Excellent. You're cool, I've been listening to your songs. You play bass guitar for No Words." Izzy Maxx: Yes, I do play bass guitar I also do background.. well, all the main screams Also the harmonies and what not... There are actually three singers, technically four people that sing, especially on certain songs. We try and sing enough to bring in the harmony and melodic side of heavy metal." Hek82: I really like that fresh metal sound a lot. " Izzy Maxx: Cool, that's awesome I'm glad you like it." Hek82: I want to compliment you guys songwriting, and Tony was talking a little bit about what it's like working with Nik as a producer/ engineer. It seems like you guys kind of do a lot of this writing all together?" Izzy Maxx: Yeah, we do. nik and I have been writing together now for the last two years. I've been writing with him. Never before have we played with such great guys like who we have now. We've always been the ones who made sure that everyone was doing their parts right and we produced it together for so long. The kid picks up so fast on everything. Recording to him has been like learning how to ride a bicycle, it just seemed so natural to him, and he's a boss at it now- he's great He's made our songs what they really are as far as the quality and brought out the life in them. His guitar playing has gotten to be ridiculously amazing over the years and now I still can't imagine what it's like to really play that fast, 'cause I can't even think that fast. So- it's gnarly, you know It's great we work together and we bond. When we want to talk about the same things when we write these songs, with the lyrics and the melodies and every one's got some kind of spiritual feeling to it. We embrace what we're feeling. We bring back true rock-n-roll. In modernity." 6

7 July 17, 2015 Hek82: Hek yeah It really is modern. It's rock. It's metal." Izzy Maxx: It's Alternative. It's Jazz, it's Enya... nah" Hek82: Ha, ha Nik Kai is a phenomenal guitar player." Izzy Maxx: That's my lil' bro He's not just Nik Kai. My best friend and my band mate. A leader " Hek82: Wow." Izzy Maxx: We all owe it to his mother and him giving us this opportunity, and the Motorhead team of course. Everyone. It might've been a crazy process and we worked our butts off for years Now it's finally comin' to life. Time to make everyine proud and happy. we love what we do." Hek82: The group mentality is unbeatable and the cooperation is there... you've got supportive people all around. That's really nice to hear." Izzy Maxx: Yeah." Hek82: So it is wonderful. I know there's sort of an age range in your group... people being a little bit mind- blown because Nik Kai is such as young pro With a long career ahead too..." Izzy Maxx: The main reason why we're doin' this is he's incredible It feels great to be doin this professionally now. We already know people in the industry. Nik knows a lot of people and got a bunch of endorsers and I have a couple myself. I love what we do. He's my little bro and he's easy to work with. It's great." Hek82: Sweet About the age range in your band..." Izzy Maxx: Well, the cool thing about us is that the age range appeals to all the little teeny boppers to all of the older heavy metal genre goers... you get guys that mosh and headbang and all the girls can just shake their butts and sing along to all the songs. There's just a twist of everything" Hek82: What comes to mind is teen idol. We have a teen idol in this group.. and the rest of you too, already Heavy weight players The big festivals you're playing... fresh looking heavy weight guys." Izzy Maxx: Exactly. We look pretty but we're actually ugly on the inside, if that makes it sound more brutal heavy metal." Hek82: Well, that's where the metal screams come from So it's good and you attract a female fan base. " Izzy Maxx: Of course, you gotta get the girls to love you... if you're conscious of all the dudes rockin' out, but girls love to rock out too. I've seen a lot of crazy freakish broads just goin' ape *** nuts Especially the hard core heavy, heavy metal bands. It just blows my mind and that's why I can't wait for Germany, they're all die- hard country lovin' metal music Mofo's Ha, ha" 7

8 July 17, 2015 Hek82: A large festival and you'll have people from all over the world so this is gonna be great." Izzy Maxx: It'll be excellent, I can't wait." Hek82: Enthusiasm across the globe. And you've got a few shows comin' up one in Las Vegas which should be fun." Izzy Maxx: Downtown Las Vegas in the strip area. It;s gonna be awesome. Rock everyone's socks off like we always do and then we're on our way to Germany after that and we rock out infront of hundreds of thousands of people or whatever number they've got there. The number keep going up We are very grateful to have the opportinity and we're ready to kill it. We got the music now and the right lineup, we're gonna show the world what we're made of, for sure" Hek82: I'm sure you will" Izzy Maxx: Hek yeah" Hek82: Well, congratulations." Izzy Maxx: We've got Nik Kai to lead us, so- even better." Hek82: Wow. It's an honor to speak with you No Words members tonight." Izzy Maxx: It was great talking to you too." Hek82: Can't thank you enough. Any other members of the band want to talk?" Izzy Maxx: Hold on one second..." Hek82: Thrilled to be able to speak with you guys, how are you Drew the drummer of No Words...? It's a fresh new metal group and there's a whole lot of enthusiasm surrounding your band... do you feel prepared for the Wacken festival coming up?" Drew Moses: As prepared as I can be. We've been practicing and reharing every day so we're just trying to get as ready as we can." Hek82: Cool How did you hook up with the band members, are you all from California?" Drew Moses: I'm actually from AZ. I just knew a friend of Nik's and when they told me there was a drummer position that need to be filled I went and tried out and I got the part. " Hek82: Wow, that's cool, congrats. What's it like drumming with the band, is this the first band you've been with?" Drew Moses: No, I've been with several before; but this is my most successful effort." 8

9 July 17, 2015 Hek82: That's cool- I'll tell you what I'm going to ask you just a couple questions: What are your main influences as far as a drummer?" Drew Moses: Main influences, number 1 would have to Thomas Lang. He's just an animal on the drums he can do literally anything possible. I really look up to him and try to be as much like him as I can. " Hek82: I've heard of him. Were you able to meet him personally and work with him? " Drew Moses: I haven't met him yet but I'm waiting for it. I'll be really excited to meet him one day." Hek82: Absolutely. Are you a fan of the Appice brothers?" Drew Moses: Yeah I'm actually going to meet 'em on Saturday. I'm looking forward to it." Hek82: Saturday, cool I'm out tonight I'm gonna see their show at the Whiskey. I wouldn't miss it" Drew Moses: Oh, yeah?" Hek82: I love drumming." Drew Moses: You play?" Hek82: I do- or did, at least a little. I wish I could keep playing. It's like heck for me." Drew Moses: Ha" Hek82: Everything's not always so easy. Again- my compliments to your songwriting and wish you the best of luck in the days ahead." Drew Moses: Thank you very much." Hek82: Hope to hear more from your band and that you have a great year." Drew Moses: Be on the look out for our new music pretty soon." Hek82: Is that pretty fun for you writing the new songs?" Drew Moses: Yeah, it's a lot of fun. I put my own drum flavor on everything." Hek82: Cool. Let's hear from the sixth member of your band. Thank you Drew" Drew Moses: Ok No Prob." Hek82: Hello Shane Zimm the keyboard player of No Words, I'm Hek82 " Shane Zimm: Awesome nice to meet you" Hek82: I am real interested in your songwriting. Is there anything you want to say about it as the keyboard player and you're doing vocals as well?" 9

10 July 17, 2015 Shane Zimm: Yes." Hek82: It's really a cool style, that you guys mix together." Shane Zimm: It's cool, everyone kind of has their own influences and backgrounds, and we're all open to each other's stylistic approaches. I think that's really what makes the music different. Accepting others opinions and being willing to try it out and create something new and original that hasn't been out there yet." Hek82: Very original." Shane Zimm: I appreciate that. As a keyboard player too, it's always a struggle with the more contemporary metal stuff or modernized metal I should say where there's not a lot of that in there. My influences date back to the late 80s early 90s when it was more prevalent to have a keyboard and so it's nice to put it back in the music. I think that adds a real difference as well, you know. " Hek82: Excellent. It's great to hear from your perspective. You've got great musicians to play with, Nik Kai on guitar." Shane Zimm: Unstoppable" Hek82: A phenomenon, his playing skill is incredible Really something to witness" Shane Zimm: Absolutely. I hang out with him everyday and hear him play and I'm still in awe." Hek82: Are you practicing and rehearsing a lot together? Is it a grueling 8 hrs a day? " Shane Zimm: It is. We just finished up an EP and it was a busy task. We had a deadline. Everyone pulled together and 20 hrs a day straight and we actually took turns sleeping shifts until the next persons turn to come in and record. Just to get it done, the dedication I really appreciate that. Everyone definitely has that so now it's just practicing and getting ready for the big show at the end of the month." Hek82: We fans appreciate it too, your dedication to the group and the music. And to be able to work with each other for those long hours. And Nik, at such a young age it can't be too easy for him to handle. " Shane Zimm: I wouldn't think so- maybe he's faking it. He make it look so easy " Hek82: Very professional player." Shane Zimm: Absolutely." Hek82: Most teenagers are out trying to do things that are bad without their parents knowing, like stealing beers and skateboarding, or whatever" Shane Zimm: I know, he has a very strict focus. He always has towards music and I appreciate that." 10

11 July 17, 2015 Hek82: Very focused group, and very respectful to eachother as well." Shane Zimm: We are all like best friends." Hek82: No problems there." Shane Zimm: Nope, no problems at all it's pretty awesome." Hek82: That's wonderful that after all the long hours of working together and not so much outside recreation. you do get the payback in the approbation, and the after-shows, and hear from fans and meet and greet them." Shane Zimm: That's what make it all worth it. My favorite part of it all." Hek82: And that's the payback and it's a different lifestyle for a person to lead. No grueling hours in a public school system or life at a factory job, such is the experience that Nik would have at a young age in comparison with someone who wasn't a pro guitar player." Shane Zimm: I definitely agree." Hek82: Well, Shane it's wonderful to talk with you. And you're a California guy to so were you able to hook up with them right in your hometown?" Shane Zimm: I've known Nik and Hunter for a couple years now. So, came in contact with them and when the opportunity arose I grabbed it right away. It's always a blessing and I appreciate them thinking of me." Hek82: Thank the band again for me." Shane Zimm: Thank you Awesome." Hek82: Best of luck." 11
