20 Census 2011 By-products Kavanagh-Foley Index of Wellbeing Uses data from new general health question Score calculated by weighting % answering each of 5 categories Lowest weighting of 1 given to % in Very Good Health Highest weighting of 5 given to % in Very Bad Health All answers added together to come up with score (crude but effective) Highest scores = Poorest level of health Picks up both urban and rural poverty Needs to be age-adjusted but results relatively robust when tested against other indicators and at other scales.
