1 The Numerologist (Part 5) Numerology - What your name means In Part 4, I explained and interpreted the meaning of your Life Path number. Each number, that is, 1 to 9, or the Master numbers, eg. 11 or 22. has its unique meaning in numerology. In Part 5, I shall talk about the meaning of the second of the four core numbers, ie. the Name number or sometimes called Expression number. Numerology is essentially derived from occult and esoteric relationships between numbers and physical objects or living things. Numerologists claim that numbers govern much of what happens in relationships, love, health, finances and life in general. The numbers derived from a person's name and date of birth may be used to work out a numerological chart about a person s character, traits, personality, relationships and even foretell one s future. Name of the Game Hence, the name you were given at birth is incredibly important in Numerology. Your entire Numerology chart is based on two things: your birth date and your birth name, with great emphasis on the letters that appear in your name (as in your birth certificate). 16

2 In numerology, every name reveals the talents and abilities instilled in you at birth. This is sometimes referred to as your potential or destiny. The name numbers are an expression of a person's developed personality and a key to his/her ambition or achievements. The name number should be a complement to his/her birth number. NAME NUMBER INTERPRETATION Your Name number is derived from the numbers that correspond to the letters in your full name. It reveals the talents and abilities instilled in you at birth. This is sometimes referred to as your potential or destiny. Remember, in Part 3, I have explained how to calculate your Name (Expression) number. To recapitulate, this is how to work out your name number The Name number is calculated by converting all the letters in your full birth name into single number. To calculate your name number, treat each of your letters in you names separately. Add up the values according to the Alphabet to Numeric conversion chart in the next page. 17
