2 We live in an overwhelming world. Feel a bit steamrolled by all the options you have for your business? You re not alone. New formulas, tactics, platforms, and opportunities appear on the market every day. You can make yourself crazy just trying to keep up. There is a better way. When you create a business strategy based on what makes you & your business most effective and how you want to connect with your prospects or customers, you can intentionally design a business that stands out without following every shiny object that comes your way. It ll be easier to establish a great reputation, connect with the people who matter most to you, and create the impact you want to make. Before you create your Strategy Map, consider these scenarios: 1) When have you been most effective in persuading someone to agree with you? Write down a specific story. 2 of 10

3 2) What is a personal principle or value that heavily influences the way you approach your work or life? Write down how that makes your approach different than others. 3) What conditions make it easy for you to meet new people? Write down as many details as you can. 4) How do you like people to respond to you or your ideas when they re working with you? Write down a specific example or two. 3 of 10

4 5) Who inspires you to create or serve the way you do? Write down specific names. Let the answers to these questions inspire your strategic map. There are more opportunities to create and connect than ever before. Business strategy in the New Economy is based on What You Want to Create and How You Want to Connect. Your strategy affects Who You Create For and How They Respond. Every choice you make in your business is influenced by those factors. Your own Quiet Power Strategy is based on what s unique to you, not a prescribed set of tactics or formula. You ll be more effective and feel more confident in your ability to lead your business and produce high value work when you re driven by your personal composition. 4 of 10

5 You re not at the mercy of the market. You re in control. That s Quiet Power. You re almost ready to fill in your Quiet Power Strategy Map. Use this map to guide your actions in product development, marketing, sales conversations, and internal management. Create a strategic plan for creating your version of success. Speaking of which, what does success look like to you? What do you want your business to look like 12 months from now? How do you want your customers lives to be different 12 months from now? 5 of 10

6 Then, consider 3 results you re looking for in your business that will get you closer to that vision. Do you want more sales of your signature product? Are you looking to grow your platform and your list? Do you want to land more high-ticket gigs? List 3 results that would make you feel more peace, ease, and wealth in your business: 1) 2) 3) 6 of 10

7 WHAT YOU CREATE What need do you want to fill? HOW YOU CONNECT What feels like a natural way for you to connect with people? What conversation is your business a part of? What personal values guide your relationships? What s your vision? What s your unique point of view? How does that differentiate your business from the rest of the market? How does that differentiate your business from the rest of the market?

8 WHO YOU CREATE FOR List specific people you re creating for: HOW THEY RESPOND How are they most likely to respond to what you create? What actions feel most natural? What s most important to these people? What really matters to them? How will you channel those actions into the results you want from your business? 8 of 10

9 Now plan to take action. 1) List 1 way you can make your unique point of view more evident. 2) Name 1 thing you can stop doing that doesn t represent the way you most naturally connect with people. 3) List 1 way you can attract more of the people you want to create for by taking part in the conversation they re having. 4) Name 1 way you can track the way the people you want to create for are most likely to respond. 5) Decide on 1 method you can use to turn their responses into results you want. 9 of 10
