5 CAN YOU SEE YOUR PLAN? It's true that entrepreneurs visualize the things they want to achieve. Think about what YOU want to achieve in the next 90 days. Can you see yourself celebrating your success? Can you imagine how it'll feel to hit your next goal? Who's with you? What are they saying? What are YOU saying and thinking? I created this step-by-step workbook to help you set goals that make sense for your business, and to make the process EASY and comfortable. If you're resistant to setting goals because you think, "Why bother? I'm not going to achieve them anyway," I understand. Committing to a goal that you've never achieved before might feel tough. I'll dig into that more as we get to know each other. For now, rest assured that I have your back with this, every step of the way. Today, as you work through this book, you're setting brand new shiny wheels in motion, proving to yourself that you're ready to achieve what you've only been envisioning up to this point. 6 WHAT'S YOUR 90 DAY GOAL? There's a few things to consider when you set your next 90 day goal. We're going to leave money out of this conversation just for a little while and you'll decide on your 90 day goal from a unique perspective. >>> Start this process by thinking about the IMPACT you want to make in 90 days on your customers' lives, and how many paying customers you will affect. An example is: "Within 90 days, I'll help 10 paying customers create a brand that they love to show off." In the space below, brainstorm how many clients you want to impact, and what that impact is going to be. This will help you set your IMPACT GOAL: Goals Made Simple Workbook Page 5

7 MAKE IT A S-T-R-E-T-C-H You may have seen the acronym S.M.A.R.T. as it relates to goals. The "A" stands for ACHIEVABLE. You want your goal to be achievable. In other words, you're not going to set a goal of connecting with 10,000 humans in 90 days. (Unless you have a speaking tour planned.) But you also want your goal to STRETCH you, because if it wasn't a stretch you probably would've already achieved it, right? Freaking out a little? That's OK. It's a good sign that you're on the right track with your chosen goal. And rest assured that I'm going to help you create a solid mindset around this. Look at your brainstorming notes above and decide if your impact goal stretches you enough help YOU expand. If you have some butterflies or you're feeling nervous, that's a good thing! Don't get worry about the HOW right now. That's why you've downloaded this workbook. The plan you're creating right now will help you figure out HOW you're going to achieve your goal, one simple step at a time. Think of it this way: You're pulling yourself back from your business just for a little while so that you can give yourself a bird's eye view of how to execute your plan. You're taking the noise out of your business and creating a plan that let's you focus on one task at a time. How does that feel? Goals Made Simple Workbook Page 6

8 LET'S DO THIS! Ok. Time to set a goal. Remember, decide how many people you want to impact over the next 90 days and HOW you're going to do that. Write a statement that says, "It's (insert goal date), and I have helped people. Example: "It's June 30, 2017, and I have helped 20 people change their eating habits and feel so much better in their clothes." *** Don't worry: you're not stuck with this goal. Chances are that over the next few days you'll feel inspired to refine it. Goals Made Simple Workbook Page 7

9 LET'S TALK MONEY It's time to see how impacting your customers will impact your income. Impacting your clients creates a wonderful domino effect in your business and life: More income -> more ease in business -> more people impacted -> more satisfaction in your personal life. As a money coach I want you to undertand that it's 100% OK to earn money doing work you love. Millions of people are self-employed and reaping the benefits of their perserverence and focus. Why can't you? Let's see at an illustration showing how the IMPACT goal you set will translate into dollars: 10 group course members x $300 = $3, workbooks x $15 = $225 3 one-on-one clients x $600 = $1,800 TOTAL CUSTOMERS IMPACTED = 28 TOTAL INCOME GOAL = $5,025 Goals Made Simple Workbook Page 8

10 LET'S TALK MONEY Use the space below to translate YOUR impact into dollars using the formula above. Remember to include the number of people you're impacting as well. Goals Made Simple Workbook Page 9

11 YOUR PLAN OF ACTION You've committed to your 90 day goal, or at least you're off to a great start on deciding what your goal is. Now it's time to break your goal down into a strategy that will help you achieve it. This is where we reverse engineer your goal. The next few SIMPLE steps will blow your plan UP! In a very good way. Put some thought into what you need to achieve in each of the next 3 months so that you will achieve your goal. An example of this would be: Month 1: Create offers Month 2: Kick off funnel Month 3: Sell offers What do your monthly goals look like? Write them below: MONTH 1: MONTH 2: MONTH 3: Goals Made Simple Workbook Page 10

12 YOUR PLAN OF ACTION Now to break it down a little further. What are you going to do each WEEK to help you achieve your goal? List your weekly goals using the template below: *This is the perfect time to let you in on a little something: It's OK if you're not 100% sure that this path is the one you should be taking. You should have a strong plan. But you can also stay open to change and adjustment if necessary. 13 AND NOW, YOUR ONE THING This is where things get really simple: Choose ONE THING you will accomplish every day that will take you one step closer to your goal. Yes, just one thing. Relax, you'll WILL achieve your goal by doing just one thing a day. The ONE THING principle was developed by Gary Keller, author of the appropriately named book The One Thing. He believes that success is built over time, step-by-step. This is where you get to give yourself permission to NOT achieve your success in 10 seconds. Despite what we see in our circles online, success takes time and planning. However, 90 days will go by fast and if you follow your plan, you'll achieve your stretch goal within that time period. So how do you determine what your daily ONE THING is? Choose a day (Sunday's a good one!) to plan your week ahead. Map your week out in your daytimer, in your online calendar, in Trello, or in whatever timekeeping tool you prefer. Make sure it feels, looks, or sounds exactly as you need it to. DO NOT try to plan your one thing for all 12 weeks at once because sure as sugar your plans will change. Goals Made Simple Workbook Page 12

14 YOU'RE ON YOUR WAY! Congratulations! You've just set a meaningful, impactful goal, as well as a rock solid, SIMPLE plan to help you achieve it. This should take some uncertainty out of your consciousness and allow you to make room for creativity and inspiration in your business.
